I would like to use the feat, Coordination (Prerequisites: Any team symbol
Choose a character. Lines of fire to and from the character are not blocked by character with the same team symbol.) with Deathlok, 11b, but he doesn't have the S.H.I.E.L.D. team symbol. If I assign the S.H.I.E.L.D. Level 7 I.D. to him (Inspiration: Character can use the S.H.I.E.L.D. team ability.), would that allow Deathlok to use Coordination on my S.H.I.E.L.D. team?
Inspirations only function temporarily, while the Called In character is on the map. From the ID Card:
Inspire - When a character friendly to an ID Character is in an adjacent square, they can use that ID Character's Inspiration.
So, yes, the SHIELD ID Cards COULD let Deathlok meet the prereqs for the feat, but only for one turn. The rest of the game, nope.
If you are already playing with feats, try using Mercenary.
25 points
Prerequisites: No team symbol
Choose a character.
Before the beginning of the game's first turn, choose a team ability possessed by a friendly character. The friendly character cannot be a wild card, and cannot possess a team ability that cannot be used by wild cards or possess a team ability that is granted by a feat. The character can use the chosen team ability when adjacent to a friendly character with that team ability and a higher point value.
*Minus 5 for each friendly character with the chosen team ability, minimum cost 10.
Actually, Coordination wouldn't work at all with the ID card.
Coordination requires the character to have the team symbol. The Inspiration from the ID card only allows the character to use the team ability. Being able to use the team ability is not the same thing as having the team symbol.

Mercenary also wouldn't help here.
Very true.
I read too quickly and missed the word "symbol" in the Coordination prereqs.
