Captain Kreuger nailed it. I think I'm ready to call this my favorite "Team" Batman piece. The Utility Belt Trait is even better than advertised with the new Power Set (Precision Strike, Empower.) The multitude of Keywords are a bonus and the sprinkling of Outwit, Perplex and Probabilty Control is perfect.

I know we have a dozen in circulation, and we'll probably never be without about 10 options in any given modern age, but to me, this IS Batman. Whatever your opponent throws at you, whatever you need to complete a team, Batman can switch the strategy each game and give you that winning edge. This guy plays uniquely and exactly how the Bat should. It's just gravy that his sculpt is amazing.

What multitude of keywords? He's missing Justice League, and that's the main reason I play a Batman.

He is pretty awesome besides that one thing though. The only real problem he might have is 6 clix of healthy, but that's it. He is meant more for Batman teams than JL.

He's great for Batman teams. Unfortunately, I find the Batman family is a bit too one-note for my tastes - I like more variety.

Um... That utility belt of his gives the Batman Family a lot of variety. :) Not even close to being one-note, really.
I'd say that the fact that he's so out of the ordinary for Batman Family teams makes him the exception that proves the rule. He gives them powers that they're not likely to encounter otherwise. You're right, though, he makes a Batman Family team much more dangerous.
(Honestly, when I do play him, he's just going to get Precision Strike anyway. That's something I'd expect Batman to normally have, though.)

The perfect stand-in when you need a WL and Vampire Batman: Choose B/C/F or TK, and assign him a Power Ring or use Black Hand's Possession (Monster kw).
@Winken Goodfellow: you are correct in that he's missing some of the keywords that other versions have like Justice League, JLI, Trinity and JLA. For that, Thematic Team Building is limited because indeed you can't pair any Flashes, Lanterns or Superman/Woman with him. Still he's got the "essential" Keywords for Batman, notably Gotham City, Detective & Martial Artist. One final thing I forgot to mention in my previous post is that I absolutely LOVE Top-Loaded Running Shot on any Batman Piece. We've had versions before with this capability but not with a bevy of Attack Powers to choose from via his Utility Belt ...

He's got the holy bat-trinity my friends and I have called "Bat-jigga" since Hypertime Bats... 1) Stealth, 2) the ability to ignore pushing, and 3) the ability to ignore hindering when moving. The sheer flexibility of his Utility Belt (which has notably been stripped of the three big ones - PC, Perplex, Outwit) allows you to customize him for the opponent. Most of the time you will, of course, pick Pulse Wave as the go-to tool for any occasion. But consider some unconventional picks based on specific defenses:
Poison is great if your opponent has few reducers and no anti-Stealth.
Quake if you expect a pile-on.
Steal Energy combos well with his Flurry if you expect a close-up fight with a Toughness opponent. CCE, PB or EW for opponents with reducers. Precision Strike for Senses/Mastermind tentpoles.
But all around, Pulse Wave is basically the cure for whatever ails you and works wonders.
Shape Change is your only real defensive choice - but you don't win games with defense, so I suggest focusing on aggression with this Bat.
