I'll have her carry around the CTD Colossus, so she would get 21 DV up close (18 from Defend + 2 CR + 1 from Trait). She will immobilize them, he will smash them. Comic accurate FTW.
Cheap stealth/outwit. And pretty good atk for only 70pts. I dig her alot. But the SR Kitty from the cap set is still my fave Shadowcat to date. Still this one is cheap and VERY usable...
Kate Bishop:"Why the HELL do you need an arrow to come back to you after you shoot it, Clint?" Hawkeye: "Because...Boomerangs"
She "can use Incapacitate" means that she can use Incapacitate. If it was only to target Robots and so on, it would say something like "Shadowcat can use Incapacitate, but she can only target characters with the Robot blah blah blah keyword." The part about Robots/Vehicles/Armor applies only to the free use of Incapacitate as described in the later part of the Special Power.
"she can use Incapacitate as a free action to make a close combat attack, and she targets all opposing characters ... "
The close combat attack part is there so something like energy shield or stealth doesn't work, it's a CC.
The free action lets you make a CC attack targeting all the robots, armors and vehicles. It doesnt say "she may target" or "she also targets" but it's AND. If you make a CC you still need to target opposing characters and in this case you are limited to robots, armors and vehicles.
Has there been any official ruling on how Shadowcat's free Incap-while- moving power works? Does it only target robot/armor/vehicles she moved through, or does it target them in addition to another adjacent character (of any variety) she ends her move next to? The "and" is tricky; if designers intended the former effect over the latter, they should simply have said "make a close combat attack targeting all opposing..." The fact that they didn't word it that way opens up the ambiguity...
Her 16+Reflexes+Stealth still leaves her exposed when she's trying to get in there and fight... try to run her on a map loaded with hiding spots. Her Disruption power handles a bit like a situational HSS. Mileage will vary highly depending on an opponent's team. Since she has a full dial of Phasing and Flight she can work as an Outwitting taxi for an ally. She does kinda wilt in close combat because she doesn't push well and even an 18 up close isn't going to keep her out of trouble.
