Hey everybody, I'm looking to build a Tentpole team centered around my SM Swamp Thing 051. Oh yea a 300 point team if possible. I'm fairly new to the game so I'm not too familiar with a lot of pieces. I mainly have UXM, TMNT and NFAOS pieces. I'm not afraid to spend some money but not a lot for this team. Thanks for any insight.

Swamp thing will have Sidestep, Charge, Combat Reflexes. +2 Attack, +1 to Speed (to start). Willpower. Steal Energy, Regen (traited toughness). Ignore shape change. List goes on.

Mystical theme

Try and pick a map with plenty of cover, such as "Ranx".

That sounds pretty good. I love the mystic TA

I think a character with telekinesis like Constantine JLTW would be pretty good. Put them into hindering terrain for swampys natures assault ability

Attempting to attack an opposing figure to place them on hindering (which may or may not be there), only to give Swamp Thing a free action to deal them 1 damage is poor strategy. Instead what about a character like Red Shift who can move a hit character up to 3 squares? At least your dealing damage. If you're set on the Telekinesis route, Go with the UXM Jean Grey. She can at least TK 2 figs for only 50 points.

What about Mole Man so he can mind control Swampy and you get additional attacks? You wouldnt even take unavoidable due to Swampy being under 150. :D
