[Damage] Discovered the Emotional Spectrum First: At the beginning of your turn, choose a color other than white. Until your next turn, any opposing character within range and line of fire can't use powers of that color.
I say "black". You can't use any power with that color, which would include Stealth.
It doesn't "counter" the traited Stealth, it just says he "can't use" it. Much like the Orange Lantern batteries which would make something that "can't use" by your opponent.
First Lantern wins this one.
You need to pick a color - so you can deny the use of either Stealth or Impervious, but as they have different colors, you can't deny the use of both of them.
Incorrect. If it comes from a color (printed on a dial) it works. If it is granted, it doesn't. Ie, stealth is not a black power, unless a black square is printed somewhere.
In the given example, First Lantern cannot affect anything granted by the Turtle trait.
remind me that I hate this game ... this WK ruling, compared to how the Orange Battery works, doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
Except its not the same as the Orange Battery. Or anything else I could find, really. Rainbow Raider has you pick power colors, but he specifies "possesses", so the color has to actually be printed on the dial. The Orange Battery has you specifically name a power. Crazy Quilt uses the wording "displaying a power of the chosen color", which as far as I am aware, means the color has to be printed on the dial.
The ruling puts it more in line with Rainbow Raider/Crazy Quilt (in a roundabout way), but the actual wording does make it seem more like the OPB. Either way, though, its still a very different effect.
Its maybe a little at odds with some more current rules logic, but it seems like an intent ruling to begin with.
