No, actually, none of those things are ironic. Ironic: "the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning". She SHOULD be singing "Isn't it coincidental?" Because that's what it is. Cyc here seems a bit expensive for a fairly short dial, but his damage potential is nice, as is the free force blast and knockback.
Cyclops here is a tough guy to rate since i really liked the GSX one we got. However, this one has it's uses as well, with leadership top dial. However, were this Cyclops really shines in my opinion is getting in close using his free force blast and sharp shooter abilities. The only problem with that is his low defense and 6 clicks of life. All of the times i have played him he has died fairly quickly, but that may just be me making mistakes. Overall i would say he is a good version of Cyclops, but not great.
I haven't paid much attention to the TABAPP figs but am very tempted to get this guy and use him with Man-Thing and Howard the Duck. There's some nice synergy when the duo gets near its end-dial, where they can't be attacked by non-adjacent characters and they have regen.
Just got this guy, and something occurred to me. You need to watch the walls if you're against this guy, cuz sharpshooter lets you run shot into adjacency. If Cyke's target is already up against a wall or blocking terrain and you don't have charge or combat reflexes, he can run shot you for his base damage, which automatically does knockback into the wall for 1 more damage, and then he can free action force blast into the wall again for another 1. Scary stuff.
I just picked up the pack with this figure today. (Thank you, Ross, for selling these packs for 5$ each.) Out of the TabApp figures I have, this one impresses me the most. That Force Blast as a free action is really incredible. I think his second click may be the best since he can Perplex up his Damage or Attack (as needed), Force Blast his adjacent foe away from him, and then blast him. As others have pointed out, having your opponent against a wall or blocking terrain can bump up the damage dealt nicely.
I finally got to run this dial, and man did he deliver. The free action force blast is the only way I would ever use the power, but man did it come in handy.
I was able to running shot and destroy a wall with :a-sharpshooter: that my enemy's Omen was hiding behind with Mastermind fodder. I then used the free action force blast to push her into a the edge of the map for a click, and also get her away from her fodder so that Colossus could come in and deal 6 with a HO for the KO. After that it was just clean-up duty. Without that free action FB none of it would have been possible.

Tack on the Impact Beam to deal some serious knockback and damage (knockback and damage from the initial attack through the trait, plus knockback and damage from Force Blast).
Cyke is a knockback machine... I love RS-ing right up against a foe pinned to a wall and dishing out 4, then 1 for knockback, and then the Force Blast for 1 more. He has an easy time staying clear of base contact (if he wants to) except when an opponent has Charge/CR, in which case he may run out of gas in close quarters when they start beating on him. His ES/D masks a pretty fragile ending defense - but with a host of great Sharpshooter-compatible powers he usually can dish out some pain before his KO. Oh yeah, and the most fun is simply running up some stairs and FB-ing someone off a rooftop just like that.
