Question: 1) Would Shuma-Gorath consider the characters in those squares as adjacent?
2) For example, if he has the Wrath Relic assigned, and attacks a characters that has Shape Change, would that character be able to use it? [In reference to making a close combat attack from 5 squares away using DARK GOD OF THE CANCERVERSE]
Question: Green Lantern places a Light Wall Marker adjacent to a friendly character then he is hit by opposing Mind Control, since he becomes friendly to the opposing force, does the friendly character he placed Light Wall marker on modify their defense value by -1 if Green Lantern attacks them?
Mind Control: Give this character a close or ranged combat action (minimum range value 4) that deals no damage. A successfully hit target becomes friendly to your force. Each target hit may be assigned one action as a free action, immediately after which the target becomes an opposing character again. Deal this character 1 unavoidable damage if the successfully hit targets’ combined point value is 150 points or more.
Answer: Yes. It would be considered opposing to Green Lantern during the attack.
Question: Let's say I'm using the Round Table and Devil Dinosaur. Devil Dinosaur is hit and dealt more than 1 damage by an attack. Would the dial for the Round Table still turn?
Answer: 1) Devil Dinosaur's effect changes the amount of damage he takes from an attack to 1 unavoidable damage instead. He is still considered as taking damage from an attack.
2) Yes, as he is still considered to have taken damage from an opposing character's attack.
Question: 1) Quicksilver gains the Flight ability and moves through a square of blocking terrain. Can he place his Speed Shadow in that square of blocking terrain?
2) Quicksilver moves and places his Speed Shadow marker in an unoccupied square of clear terrain. Can another character use Barrier and place a square of blocking terrain over the marker?
BARRIER: Give this character a power action; place up to 4 blocking terrain markers in distinct, adjacent squares of clear terrain that are all within this character’s range (minimum range value 4). At least one of the terrain markers must be within line of fire when it is placed. The terrain markers remain until the beginning of your next turn.
Answer: 1) No. Unless specified otherwise, no special markers of any kind may be placed on top of, or occupy the same square as, blocking terrain except Debris markers.
2) No. See above.
Question: If Deadman is on a countdown click and you only have one other figure on the map if your opponent mind controlled your other figure would Deadman be KO'd as there would be no friendly characters on the map for the duration of the mind control action?
MIND CONTROL: Give this character a close or ranged combat action (minimum range value 4) that deals no damage. A successfully hit target becomes friendly to your force. Each target hit may be assigned one action as a free action, immediately after which the target becomes an opposing character again. Deal this character 1 unavoidable damage if the successfully hit targets’ combined point value is 150 points or more.
Answer: No. Game effects that trigger off the number of characters a player's force has remaining on the map or on their force only check for that trigger after all current actions have resolved.
Question: My colossal size character activates Hypersonic Speed, and attempts to move adjacent to standard size character who has plasticity. Would my have to stop moving?
PLASTICITY: This character adds 2 to its d6 roll when breaking away. Opposing characters subtract 2 from their d6 roll when breaking away from this character. Opposing characters of the same size or smaller can’t automatically break away from this character and must end their movement when entering a square adjacent to this character, even if they would not have to do so normally.
HYPERSONIC SPEED: Give this character a power action and move it up to its speed value; it adds 2 to its d6 roll when breaking away and can use Improved Movement: May move through squares adjacent to opposing characters, but still needs to break away normally. During this move, this character may, as a free action, make one close combat or ranged combat attack with its range value halved for the attack. This character must be in a square where it could legally end its move in order to make the attack.
Answer: No. If a character is larger than the character that can use Plasticity, it does not have to stop it's movement when moving adjacent to that smaller character and may still break away automatically if able to do so.
Note that if the larger character attempts to break away from the smaller character that can use Plasticity, it still must subtract 2 from it d6 result (the larger character is also still able to benefit from any size bonuses granted to the break away roll as well).
Question: I start the game with Shredder Clone and then later in the game Shark Shredder replaces Shredder Clone because of the Ocean Resurrection trait. Shark Shredder then gets attacked and would be KO'd. Does he get to use the Mystical Worms trait?
Answer: No. The trait specifically checks to see if Shark Shredder began the game on your starting force. Since, in this example, he was not part of your starting force when he began the game, his trait will not trigger when he would be KO'd.
Whoa, that ruling for Quicksilver seems like it changes some stuff. Anarky wouldn't be able to put his Bomb markers in blocking terrain, then, for example?
Not completely following the ruling of the colossal hypersonic question. With the new size rules and update to plasticity the colossal character would never have to roll for breakaway or stop. Guess I'm just missing the point.

Yeah, there is even a write up on Anarky on this site stating you can place them in blocking.
Really do be, or really do be do. There is no try

If a colossal character is trying to break away from a standard sized character with plasticity and another colossal (without plasticity) then they don't automatically breakaway and they will still be taking the -2.

Good point, and to bootstrap on to this, would I be correct in thinking that the only size bonus given for the larger character would be a +1 to their breakaway roll? The automatic breakaway is null bc of Plasticity's wording and the only other size bonus given with the new size rules was a +1 to the roll for characters breaking away from only smaller characters.

[C]When breaking away from only smaller characters, you increase your break away result by 1. If all the characters you’re breaking away from are two or more sizes smaller, you automatically break away. If even one character you’re breaking away from is the same size or larger, you don't get any of the bonuses.
The automatic breakaway only comes into play if you are 2 sizes larger than all characters you are adjacent to.

Yes I am solid on that. In the example stated, though, the figure in question was a Colossal, whose automatic breakaway is negated by the standard opposing player's plasticity, which led me to ask for clarification regarding his bonus to the roll based on size. Since a colossal is two sizes above a standard, but cannot use the auto breakaway, would their size bonus default to the +1 for the d6 roll, which is what a Giant-Size character would have over the standard size one?
EDIT: sorry, I was referencing the scenario given in the rules question. I see now in your post, that you added a colossal as another opposing character in addition to the srandard sized one with Plasticity.
My question only focuses on the single standard size opposing character with plasticity.

A colossal would automatically breakaway from a standard sized character with plasticity because of the wording of plasticity.
E]This character adds 2 to its d6 roll when breaking away. Opposing characters subtract 2 from their d6 roll when breaking away from this character. Opposing characters of the same size or smaller can’t automatically break away from this character and must end their movement when entering a square adjacent to this character, even if they would not have to do so normally.
Plasticity only stops auto breakaway of same size or smaller.

Yup. Thats what happens when I mis-read the OP's post. I didnt need clarification. I just need glasses. Sheesh.
