That is the only upside.

"I'da figured this would'a been a lot harder," said Captain Boomerang, gawking at the size of the entryway of the Watchtower. "They don't even have a lock on the door!"

Captain Cold activated the comm in his ear. "Cold to Hammer-One. It looks like there isn't anyone here. Go ahead and pull back before someone starts asking questions."

"Acknowledged, Cold. Hammer drones returning to base," came the reply from Justine Hammer before the line went dead.

"Seriously, shouldn't there be a load of robots or lasers or somethin' trying to kill us?"

"Digger, shut up," said Heat Wave. "Just enjoy the moment."

"Why don't you all shut up and get to work?" Captain Cold said curtly. "You know why we're here. Let's find out what the capes left behind."

The New Rogues moved through the tower, taking note of everything that my have some value in the future. Captain Cold heard Batroc yell in surprise, and by the time he turned with cold gun drawn, Batroc was holding what looked to be an older version of Captain America's shield.

"What the hell are you doing, screaming like that?!" shouted Heat Wave. "I almost roasted you!"

"I am keeping zis," Batroc said flatly. "I was just surprised to see it."

"Let him have his fun, Mick," replied Captain Cold, opening a door. "We got bigger things to worry about." Captain Cold stepped aside to show the rest of the Rogues what lay in the room beyond: The Justice League's briefing room. Each member of the New Rogues walked through the door, the realization of where they were finally sinking in. The holographic glove spun lazily in the center of the room, and each of the chairs surrounding the table had a nameplate in front of it.

Without warning, Whiplash fired up his armor and swung repeatedly at the chair labeled Iron Man. Sparks flew as Whiplash screamed in fury, and soon the chair was reduced to splinters while Whiplash breathed heavily.

"Did you get that out of your system?" asked Captain Cold?

"Yes," replied Whiplash, panting.

"Good," said Cold, crossing the room. "Everyone take a seat." The Rogues moved around the table and moved to sit.

"Batroc, you're going to need to pick a different place," Cold said icily. Batroc stopped, looked at the insignia on the chair, and moved away once he registered what the lightning bolt meant. "Apologies," he said before taking a seat in Spider-Man's chair.

"Wonderful," said Captain Cold. "Now, it's time for us to discuss what's next for the New Rogues, and where we go from here."

Patch stood outside several blocks away from the Soder Cola Plant looking down at a bright screen. On the screen was an e-mail from Arcade requesting to speak to Patch in person about some "Grand discovery he has unearthed". Patch chuckled as he typed a short reply and slipped the phone into his coat pocket. "Well if that isn't the most 'I want something in return' email I've ever seen." Right he said that, Sabretooth and Magenta landed right next to him. "Well? What kinda resistance are we looking at?"
Sabretooth spoke up "We've got about three unmarked black vans so maybe ten to fifteen." Magenta added "Oh and we saw three men who looked exactly like each other carrying a crate." Patch locked eyes with Magenta with a quizzical look on his face. "Looked like each other huh?" Magenta shrugged "Who knows? They might be identical triplets." Patch was busy dialing on his phone. "Triplets? Oh darlin, it's never that simple in this job." The phone answered "Yes Patch?" Ivy's Voice came over. "Hey Ivy. Tell Cain That were going to be making our own entrance."

Inside the plant, Sin was barking orders at a small group of Grant Wards to work faster. "Gott zuliebe! Move faster you wastes of DNA! We won't be taking over this country by moving slowly!" Crossbones got off the pole he was leaning on. "What's wrong honey?" "Nothing!" She snapped at Crossbones. "Aww come on I can tell something's bothering you. C'mon. You can tell your bonesy." She sighed. "I guess it would have been easier to tell a bunch of mindless clones orders and do exactly what was asked of them, but they're somehow worse than normal idiots. Maybe running a criminal empire hoping to take over Metropolis was a mistake." Crossbones wrapped his arms around her. "Honey You are doing an amazing job terrorizing the streets of metropolis and I know when we have this city at its knees, taking over the world will be a breeze. With your ruthlessness and my tactics, there's no one who can stop us." He brushed her hair out of her eyes. "You are my strength, Brock." "As you are mine Sin." As they were about to kiss a loud Crash came from the loading dock. "Knock, Knock! A takeover is a-callin!" Sin and Crossbones looked toward the sound as the Plunderer called them "Yar Captain Sin? We be havin the Juggernaut knocking down a wall." "Oh come on!" Yelled Sin.

Juggernaut was dusting himself off from the wall. From behind him, Patch and Co walked into the poorly lit loading dock. "Hello you weird hoard of handsome. Could you be so kind as to get your boss for me?" "I am the leader of this organization. What do you want, Mr. 'Patch'? as Sin walked out from another room with Crossbones behind her. "Ah! If it isn't the personification of daddy issues and her boy toy. Well I'm going to keep it straight and simple. Leave now and we won't turn your bodies into thin strips of meat." Crossbones laughed in the back "You think you can kill us?! You won't be leaving here alive. I'll have you know that I sho..." "Shot Captain America and killed him." Everyone repeated with annoyance and disdain as Crossbones tried to finish. "Yeah. Everyone knows, Rumlow." Sabertooth piped up "Not to mention you shot him with a sniper rifle." Maggenta shouted from the back "While he was in handcuffs." "And in police custody." Added one of the Wards. "Yeah honey. It really wasn't that impressive." Sin patted a disappointed Crossbones on the shoulder. "But, he's right. We won't be letting you leave here alive. Get them, Wards!"

The Wards began to charge at the intruders as Patch, Sabretooth and Juggernaut ran at them attacking all of the Wards. A huge clash as The Wards started to swarm, but was being cut down slowly with Magenta knocking them back but was hit by a flash of light knocking her into a wall, out cold. "Is this all you got, Sin? A bunch of clones?" Yelled Patch. From the rafters, the Plunderer yelled "Yar! Tis not be all we have as he aimed a large cannon at Patch. "Well shi" as the cannon fired at him knocking him through the floor. "Yar har har. Tis be a fine shot." as a gunshot came from below tripping him up. The Plunderer hit the floor with a thud looking up at a Ward aiming a gun at him. "Tis a sudden but inevitable betrayal." He groaned. "Sorry sir." The Ward said. "But Ms. Ivy asked me to kill you." As he was about to pull the trigger, the Juggernaut trampled him into the ground. "Good boy, Agent Ward. Now take out your old boss." He blankly aimed at Sin. She was too busy ordering people around to see the betrayal that was about to happen. The Ward mindlessly pulled the trigger on his old boss as the bullet hit her in the stomach. She looked down at the bullet wound and fell to the ground. Crossbones looked over to see his love on the ground. "No!" he screamed as he ran over to check on her. The Juggernaut stepped over to Crossbones. "Sorry loverboy. This ain't going that way." As the Juggernaut's fist made contact with Crossbones's face. One of the few Wards picked up Plunderer's cannon and fired it at Juggernaut knocking him cold. The same Ward turned the Plunderer's cannon at Sabretooth who was bathed in the blood of the last few Wards. He yelled "Hail Hydra" and as he went to pull the trigger, a gunshot rang out as the Ward had a hole in his head. "Hail Ivy" Said the mind controlled Ward with the gun. Ivy walked up to the Ward under her influence. "Oh such an obedient man. Alright Ward, time to end this." He moved the gun under his chin. "Yes Ma'am." and pulled the trigger.

"Well this is a mess." Ivy looking at the corpses of Ward clones scattered across the loading dock's floor. "Oh yeah. I haven't had that much fun in decades." Said Sabretooth flicking blood off of his claws sitting on a pile of Wards. Ivy walked over to the hole Patch fell through. "You think that they'll be okay?" Ivy asked peeking into the hole. "Hopefully. This whole plan won't go fair if they aren't still around." A voice came out from the hole. "Victor? Pam?" Shouted the voice. "Yeah we're still here." Ivy yelled into the pit. "Good. I need you two to go to Star Labs and see what Arcade has for us. If he asks where I am tell him I'm busy cleaning the plant." "Alright then." Yelled Sabretooth down the hole. "Do you need any help out?" "No thanks. I'm not decent yet."

Basically, it was a blood bath for me. The only figure I got from TF1Wayfarer which was I, Vampire. Most of our troops gathered on top of S.T.A.R. Labs (we used the Avengers Academy map as a stand in), and between Electro, Agent 37, and Speed Demon my forces didn’t stand a chance. The rest of my pieces, including Arcade and Hurt, were taken out by Rhino and Machine Man. I almost took out a few of the big hitters, but every round a large chunk of my forces was gone by the time I got to my turn. The MVP of the game would be Electro with a combination of Precision Strike, Energy Explosion, and Penetrating damage.

I plan on later tomorrow writing up a story for the events that happened. As for why I didn't use Lady Deathstrike it was because I don't have a figure for her yet I didn't feel like using a proxy. So I decided that in game she was going to try and take Centenial Park (which also didn't go well).

In at the buzzer, a fun after-dinner game.

This started out all about the range game and the two Arrows, Ollie and Roy, kept the pressure up. Roy firing through the Dreadnoughts to cripple Shocker with a crit hit hurt while Ollie concentrated on Blackwing with a Precision arrow (and finished off the knocked clear Shocker). Really the Stealthy giant robots were the worst threat since only Daredevil could fire ranged attacks into them and they closed distance fast. The Maggia Goons tied up the bowmen only to have the Punisher go all full-auto on them. It actually ended up being a really tight game half-way through. Goldbug finally stopped the Punisher's bullet-ridden murder rampage, the Dreadnoughts eventually handled Nightcrawler and Beetle and an injured Ollie took each other out essentially (the wounded Beetle was taken out by Robin next turn). It was close but in the end the Defenders came out on top (well, just barely and mostly due to Daredevil and his giant robot smashing/Outwitting abilities).

Cletus was banging on a tv in a security office, Shriek leaning on the doorway. He had been wiggling the antenna and hitting the box for near on an hour now. "****ing hell! Why'd we even take this place!" The box flared to life and Cletus' eyes lit up, quickly running through the channels. "Why do you care about that dumb box anyways?" Shriek rolled her eyes turning to leave as Cletus spun on his heels to respond. "Murderworld. That's why. I ain't missing my show." He smiled wide as he found the channel. Looks like Arkham had HBO all along!

Suddenly, there was a loud boom throughout the prison, followed by roars and screams. Cletus turned from the tv as his other covered his body. "Sounds like the doorbell is working!" He and Shriek ran to the front gate, Doppelganger crawling behind. "Come on kiddies, time to greet the neighbors!" As he spoke, several malformed symbiotes joined the rush, the source of the roars and screaming. The front door was blown wide open, The Penguin and the Cats were there to take what was rightfully Carnage's. "Hey! Get off my lawn!"


After a long fought battle, most of the forces on each side were worn down to nothing, but in the end, only our hero clad in red stood while the rest fled.

Notes:
The Defenders put up a good fight, but were not ready for for Shocker's army of giant robots (is anyone ever?), led by an indestructible Hammerhead, who paved the way for his boss to clean house.

This was perfect writing for Captain Cold, IMO. Even though he's a villain, he still has that bit of respect for the dead...

The battle was hard fought, with The Lizard being attacked by both Man Bat and Clayface. Ivy managed to control Rhino, Man Bat and Sandman. Rhino delivered an instant KO to Magenta thanks to his special charge. Ivy was soon KO by Speed Demon. Lady Deathstrike choose the wrong opponent when she targeted Mysterio. With his Clones, her target was in another castle. Chameleon thanks to his Renet Tiley disguise turned the battle thanks to her Probs. Doc Ock delivered a triple KO to Tess One, Arcade and the Lieutenant, you could say it was his "Master Plan!" Finally a big save goes to The Star Lab Technicians for saving Kraven from near death.

It was a bloodbath in Ace Chemicals, with Shrieks mind control and battle fury radius Joker's range was subdued. She kindly asked Joker "Would you kindly walk over to me." As Joker was compelled to the siryn. Carnage delivered the coup de grace with a blades of 6. Than it went downhill for Team Joker's outing.

So finalzing the next weeks mission, as a reminder, if you don't tell me who owns a place when you attack it together, I pick based on what I think it happening.
