I saw something recently concerning base 2 base figures and ranged combat that differs from the way the game played before the Indy changes. I can't find a ruling on it in the new rules or the FAQ.
Here's what I remember: My figure (A) is base to base with an opposing figure (B) and wants to make a ranged attack with another opposing figure (C) which is within range but several spaces away. According to what I saw, this is now legal, and I can shoot at a distance even though I am in close combat with another figure. If this is now the case, where can I find the ruling on it. Perhaps I've overlooked it, or perhaps this was just a rumor. Thanks -A

This can now be done if the attacking character is a flyer. the ruling you are looking for is in the FAQs, page 2, Rulebook Corrections:
Quote
• Replace the text following Hovering, page 13, with the following: “Hovering characters can make ranged combat attacks against adjacent and non-adjacent opposing characters to which they have a clear line of fire, even when adjacent to opposing characters. Characters may make ranged combat attacks against adjacent hovering characters to which they have a clear line of fire, unless the attacker is also adjacent to an opposing character without Flight.”
One thing that is unclear for me is this. It sounds as if I have a grounded figure adjacent to a hovering figure, I cannot attack another figure from a distance? Is this correct or does the grounded figure have the same choices?
