Can Energy Explosion be used in conjunction with Ranged Combat Expert?

for instance, if Firelord (E) attacks a group with EE, does the RCE boost his damage to 3, or is it only 1? It seems like having it be only one would make it sort of a useless power, unless I were trying to bomb a little camp of medics or something.

No, it does not. RCE says it cannot be used with ANY OTHER POWER in conjunction with it. It cannot work with:

-Energy Explosion, Psychic Blast, Pulse Wave, Running Shot, Perplex(on damage), and Enhancement.

does work work with:

-Perplex(on attack) and S.H.I.E.L.D. Team Ability.

I'm not a judge, so it's possible I'm wrong. If anyone knows for sure, it'd be helpful.

DareDevil is using the outdated Powers & Abilities Card (PAC),he is correct, but for the wrong reasons. Ranged Combat Expert (RCE) is a Power Action that gives you a Ranged Combat Attack. Energy Explosion (EE) is a Ranged Combat Action. So no, EE and RCE do not work together.

PS - RCE can be used with other powers

Ahh, my favorite, the S.H.I.E.L.D. TE. So, if I put 2 SWATs next to Firelord, he could rip through a few adjacent characters at once, even if they all had toughness? That's beautiful.
