THE COLOR YELLOW, MY OCCASIONAL WEAKNESS!: Characters displaying a yellow power (on their combat dial) modify attack +2 when attacking only Green Lantern. Characters displaying a yellow power (on their combat dial) modify defense +2 when Green Lantern attacks them.
Are SPs and / or traits containing "yellow powers" included in this weakness?
I recall WK stating (paraphrasing) defensive powers on the PAC not in the defensive slot are still defensive powers.
Does this cover PAC yellow powers that aren't "yellow"?
I feel the "on the combat dial" is clarifying that a figure that has a yellow power on click 5 doesn't get the bonus until the dial is clicked to click 5.
Thanks.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
His is referring to standard yellow powers, not ones contained in special powers. The closest thing I can find that clarifies this in the rulebook is the following (page 27)
Standard powers have a corresponding colored square printed on a combat dial and are of the same combat type (speed, attack, defense, or damage) as the combat value they surround. Standard powers are explained on the PAC. Standard powers may be granted by name through other powers and abilities, and in that case there is no corresponding colored square.
I would rule that the "displaying a yellow power" part means actual yellow color on the dial, not any normally yellow colored powers that a figure can use from some other source, including SPs.
"Displaying on the dial" means it needs to be printed in one of the four combat slots. Having a yellow standard power in a special power or via some other game effect will not trigger the effect.
I honestly love that. "Weakness to the color yellow" is such a strange thing, and I'd imagine hard to pull off from a design standpoint (do you, for example, choose to have the character weak to figures with the color yellow in their paint job?), that I really like the way it's executed here.

My only issue with this is that nowhere does Wizkids say what colors are what.
Not that yellow should be a big issue (phasing, pulse wave, defend, and support), but I can imagine someone trying to say that earthbound, quake, combat reflexes, and exploit weakness are yellow, too.

To clarify for (future questions),
is it Silver or Grey?
Is it Brown or Gold?
