I wish I could make my opinion known by boycotting Marvel comics until Cap..the REAL Cap..comes back, but since I haven't actually bought a comic in the past five years, I guess that threat won't carry much weight.

You know how we could REALLY hit Marvel in the pocketbook though? Boycott Spider-Man 3, Ghost Rider and the new FF flick. Everyone knows that Marvel is more of a movie company than a comic company these days.

A few problems there...

I agree, I for one am seriously thinking about what comic titles I am going to read in the future.
But Boycotts only work if enough people will honor the Boycott. and i do not think that enough people care enough about Cap to Boycott Some of the Most Anticpated movies of the Summer.
I think the best thing to do is Write,Call and Email Marvel. Let Mr Queseda know how we feel. I did. He may not read it or care but i feel better knowing I told him How Bothered I am.

This is a subject that means a lot to me and If someone is making Jokes when you are trying to make a serious point then sometimes you get defensive. I did get defensive. I did not see that persons remarks as Joking, I saw them as shots trying to anger me. which unfortunately it did.

As far as people wearing Caps Costume there are several in the Marvel Verse that would serve the costume well. But frankly i think the Damage is done. I think it was a Mistake to kill him off in the first place and I sincerely doubt anyone at Marvel will ever be able to admit it.

I can see how people may jump to those conclusions, but the Punisher does not just work outside the law: he transcends it. The Punisher is a cold, uncompromising, black and white vigilante. If you are a criminal, you die. If you are not, you are not on his radar. IMO, he isn't meant to interact with the Marvel Universe. Nor is he meant to worry about how "nobody gets him". He's a machine, pure and simple. He kills, and will keep on killing until he dies. It is just something that he needs to do; an instinct and desire that he can't ignore.

I think that slapping Cap's mask on him would cheapen that. Quite a bit.
