The only expierience I've had is I ordered a whole bunch of hand ninjas when HOT came out off ebay and after a day or two the order got cancelled as they weren't available anymore.
Just wanted to pipe in about Canada Customs. I have worked in the customs industry in Canada for 15 years and can say that it is very seldom that customs "opens" anything, they will inspect shipments but that hardly ever results in them opening any of the packages on the truck. Large orders go through the border all the time with small values. I personally have seen truckloads 30,000-40,000 pounds of stuff go through with values in the 200-300 dollar range. Normally a hold up at customs is due to customs brokers either not having the proper paperwork/information. Low Value Shipments (LVS) can be held up a long time. On a normal shipment coming into Canada the broker has 5 days from the time the load has cleared to get finalized. With LVS the broker has 45 days to get it finalized and sometimes LVS will get held by the delivering company until it is finalized.
As far as T&T shipping stuff with a value of $5 doesn't affect them at all. The onus of goods being delivered to Canada to be represented properly is on the purchaser not the shipper. If customs were to inspect something valued at $5 and determine it to be more the person or company that bought it is on the hook for the misinformation and therefore have to cover the duties taxes and any additional penalties applied.
I can relate one experience that showed me that "very seldom" doesn't mean never.
I got a call from Canadian Customs, asking me to document a shipment of 9 items. They were accurately listed at $28 or so, but customs had opened the package, saw the store receipt, gone to the store ebay page, saw a Chase Superman at the top of the page, and went no further. They though clix were about $100 each and the customs info was incorrect.
Why did they open the package in the first place? I have no clue. It was only when we verbally discussed a figure name and number and reviewed the actual ebay item number to verify the price that they were satisfied.
What would have happened if the info was wrong? Again, I have no clue, but I do know that the seller does sign a verification that all info is correct and can be held liable.
Comical, Woolverine, Pop of Pop's Culture Shoppe and Wellsboro Comic Con.

At least those were real figures. The Dr. Manhattan colossal variant that they had listed never even exsisted. That diddnt stop them from sitting on my money for 2 months.

I Just wanted to add recent experience with Troll and Toad. After what they chose to do with my last order I'm not ordering anything else from them. The orders were a day apart and they chose to double ship me, instead of combining shipping. Now, I realize that one is my fault, but it's still a swarmy thing to do. However it was what I received on my second order that broke the camels back so to speak.
The Green Goblin SR that I ordered was smashed against the card case and the Goblin had been broken off the glider! So, now I have six or so paint scrapes along the card case from the gray paint from the glider and Norman taking a dump in the wind holding two pumpkin bombs. This is not what I expected for the price I paid for the figure.
I am going to glue Gobby back on his glider, but damn that was it for me.
Considering I get better care in packing from the traders I deal with here, than I do with a pro online company, such as Troll and Turd, I'm not giving them another chance. They blew it, and so they will miss out on any impulse SR purchases I might decide to make in the future.
i've ordered from troll & toad twice so far and both times had a good experience. however, i ordered a Maverick figure and it came with The Hood's dial base (everything else was Maverick, except the base part, dial was Maverick's though) so i sent them an e-mail and they offered a replacement fig, free of charge, which was nice. i find T&T has the best prices and stock. i've only ordered two times from them, but so far, so good. shipping prices aren't the best though.
I still love 'em. I had one minor problem with them a couple of years back, easily resolved.
Unlike Popular Collections -- PC are real scumbags.
Agree with you 100% Popular Collections are rip offs, they offer free shipping and then charge you for shipping and I've been waiting 4 months for my refund nothing yet. They post single figs. for sale on day of release of WOS and tell you that they were allocated on the cases and that is why I did not get my pre-ordered cases until a month after release of WOS. Will never buy from them.
O.K., in the interest of community sharing, here's my recent T and T story....
Seeing an eBay Buy It Now with the lowest -- by a LOT -- price on one of the figures that is exclusive to the Anti-Monitor set, I bought two, plus, just for the heck of it, an uncommon from a different set.
When the large box arrived a short time later, I was stunned to find only the uncommon inside. With that, I sent a detailed e-mail to T and T (meaning that I took care to list order/payment date, item names, item numbers, what was sent, what was not received, etc.).
What followed was the start of a short series of exchanges --- one that proved frustrating when it seemed to me that the customer service rep was responding without taking half the care to reading as I had put into writing. Instead of clarity, I got confusion.
But what I learned was that the supply of this particular exclusive was exhausted. They came up with one, which would be sent out, and went ahead and issued a refund of the other's item price (not shipping). Well, when the figure did arrive, shipped in a bubble-lined mailer (not a box), it was flatter than a pancake. I was able to fix it, but that's not the point.
By now, I was more than a little annoyed. But then, I received a message that was different in tone and content from another customer service rep, who impressed me by wanting to do right by me.
She also advised that T and T had been moving out of one building and into another, one department at a time, and the process had started Oct. 15. This didn't excuse, but at least explained, a possible cause for confusion.
In the end, this customer service rep gave me a refund that reflected a shipping refund and a discount on the pancaked figure I did receive, which was more than words in trying to let me know that I mattered as a customer.
If anybody has ordered fairly recently from this company and experienced trouble, well...perhaps here's an explanation for you. If you make contact, I suggest -- strongly -- that you ask for Candace in customer service.
If there's an epilogue to this story, perhaps it's this general observation about the art of being a consumer: bargain-hunting can backfire. When it does, the few dollars you think you're going to save may not be worth the grief that comes with the "bargain"...
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!

If you'd bothered to read their shipping info they tell you up-front that they don't combine shipping because of how they have their system set up.
So I don't see why you even complain about this (especially after admitting it's your own fault...)
Okay, I have to share my own recent T&T story. I picked up a Zenhattan from their Amazon store for the obscenely low cost of $11. Great deal, says I! Well, sure enough, the figure that arrives is giant Dr. Manhattan (#11 from the set). I contacted T&T customer service to let them know that the figure that I received wasn't the one that was depicted in the listing, and to ask how I should ship giant Doc back to them. Well, I got a prompt and apologetic response, and I was told to keep the giant Dr. Manhattan as their way of saying sorry for the mix-up. Zenhattan arrived a few days later, and now (having picked up the big ticket figures) I'm thinking that I might try to pick up the rest of the Watchmen set as singles. Incidentally, the price has been corrected on the Amazon listing to a more believable $23.50. So, yeah, I've been shopping with them for singles for some time, and I'll definitely continue to do so.

Good one and thanks for sharing, as I love happy endings, especially when good things happen to good people.
But have you considered the possibility that somebody who's an ardent admirer of a certain deceased German model/chanteuse works there and knows of your avatar...?

Then again, we've had that announcement from WK that they were cutting back on allocations for online stores. T&T *is* an online store, not sure if they have an actual storefront.
At least, I still have them to thank for my twin colossal Manhattans for $65
in response, yes they do have a storefront. i know because i went there. twice. and i think the reason being that they've had delayed shipping is that they are moving into a 1,000,000 sq. ft. facility. so they're most likely unpacking. i've bought from them before and never had any problems.

I've never bought Clix from them, but I have bought other things, and never had any problems. Their Clix always struck me as somewhat overpriced, for the most part, so I never bothered.
