I'm not sure how the weekend's going to roll with respect to movies. After being so shut down by work weight and woes I want to get out for some things this weekend.
I've been invited out to go see the final Harry Potter film on Sunday, and as going to the movies with someone else generally trumps going alone, Potter is on track to beat Cowboys and Aliens for me this weekend.
I haven't decided yet if I'm going to go to a venue (400 pt Modern, Floor) for noon tomorrow or not.
You should go play some Clix. Sounds like you deserve as much fun as you can possibly cram into your weekend after the week you've had.

I'm going to see how I feel come the morning, but putting a few teams together tonight can't hurt either way. It's possible I may be playing some games yet tonight.
When I went to the venue a couple weeks ago I ended up with the Red Guardian LE - it was an open choice and that's the way I went - while if I have the same opportunity I'll be trying to decide between Madame Hydra and Gabe Jones.
Wow. Glee managed to destroy even a classic like that!
Poor (fast) pacing along with vocal "stylings" that are so often used these days as a combination of ADD and people most likely trying to cover their inability to hold a note.

I enjoyed the last Potter...aside from a few things altered/left out;(really can't put EVERYTHING in a 2hr movie) it was something that was ended just as well as it was begun. Though I regret going to a local theatre for the viewing....the screen was darker than usual so I got a bit lost in some of the shadowy parts.....R-Truth's appearance gave me the free time to comment....now that's he's gone...back to my regular programming.
I've been too tired to get online much lately, too much work, but a new place!! Sounds like lots of movie plans this weekend. I eventually want to see Cowboys and Aliens. Hopefully it will just be a hoot.

I asked a friend how the film handled the many deaths from the book
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
...Fred's in particular...
and she said that it was done off screen and you didn't even find out about it until Harry walks into the great hall and the after math is revealed. I don't remember it happening that way in the books, and as that death struck me hardest of all, I was a bit dismayed to find out about that.
I love the books, but think I will wait to watch the final two films back to back from the comfort of my sofa. I haven't seen Part One yet and at this point that sounds like the most sensible option.
I must be alone here that I'm not blown away by Black Adam. I think he's good, but he's not crazy. I don't think he'll be the most expensive piece in the set unless the other SR's are exceptionally mediocre. In a Superman set, I expect at least 1 SR to be almost a point and click figure that will draw the big bucks. To my surprise, this figure is rather straight forward and rather simple in it's design. I didn't want to criticize it in the other thread because this is George Massu's chance to shine and enjoy the spotlight of his figure. I pride myself at being level-headed when looking at figures and I think time will prove me right that this figure will be fair, but not give you the looks that Metron, Nightcrawler, or Cosmic Spider-man will earn you by showing up with them at a tournament.
I'm with you. I think it's cool that you can use him as whatever point level you choose, but other then that, I'm not going crazy for him. Of course, that will be most of the set for me unless something I really want pops up (like Silver Banshee). I DO want Darkseid though.

As I recall that is how many of the deaths were handled in the book. Offscreen and inventoried every time Harry took a moment to count the bodies.
If you haven't seen part one yet, might as well wait and see them both on DVD within a short period. I liked the second part alright, but the first was by far the better movie of the two. The filmmaking was impressive and it managed to avoid becoming slow despite that part of the book slowing to a crawl in places.

You very well might be right. I just remember that particular death hitting me so hard that I can't imagine it happened off page. But maybe I am remembering incorrectly and the writing was just that good. Gods, I loved that last book.

I could be wrong or thinking of a different specific case. I read that book pretty recently and I'm still foggy on exactly what happens in it. There's just so much going on. It was far better rereading it than I remembered it being the first time. I don't have any doubt that it's the best of the series from a sheer writing perspective (epilogue aside), and probably others besides that.
