Yep, and if they had done this with HorrorClix, or especially made ALL HorroClix compatible with Heroclix like they did with the 4 original Marvel Zombies and the Hellboy/BPRD set,
then HorrorClix would still be alive and most likely thriving today.
::insert usual post debunking this myth here::
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
Ships are characters. If they weren't, then almost all of their powers and abilities would be useless. For example:
We already know the figures on top of HeroClix sculpts are characters.
Just because the USS Defiant is a character it doesnt make Iron Man into a ship.
"A Jester unemployed is nobody's fool." - The Court Jester "And so he says, I don't like the cut of your jib, and I go, I says it's the only jib I got, baby!
Iron Man's armor is a vessel that conveys a person from one point to another, that sounds like a ship.
Maybe Spider-man would have been a better example?
WK has decreed, what WK will decree, we need to move on to a new subject.
The ship has sailed on this thread.
Iron Man would be a "boat" not a "ship" any person experienced with Maritime terminology will tell you there is a difference.

I'll caveat this by saying I have not read this thread. I don't know how much of what I post here will be seen as vindication or vilification of deputies and/or other posters. Neither is my intent, only communication.
Star Trek Tactics is a separate game from other HeroClix sets. It is not Modern Age, it is not Golden Age.
That it refers to ships is indicative of this separateness.
That said, it is a game that is compatible with other HeroClix sets. How does one "bridge" that compatibility? By understanding that "ships" and "characters" are interchangeable.
If any of the deputies communicated differently, it's likely my own fault and not anyone at WK/NECA because I was, at one point, under the impression they were going to be categorized as "Golden Age".
All of this is planned to be documented in the upcoming updates to the Player's Guide and Tournament Guide. Those will be "soon". Ish.
Well said Sir NbPerp, this is exactly how I see it as well.Star Trek Tactics is not Heroclix it is Heroclix compatible.
So Iron Man's Armor is a ship (and even a boat, as it can fit on another larger boat) as it conveys him hither and yon.
So to follow your example the Heroclix experts, Wizkids, is telling us that in their sandbox a 'ship' is a 'character'. How is that any different than any person experienced with Maritime terminology telling you that a "boat" not a "ship"?
The Infinity Gauntlet is a resource which is a new type of game element.
Could we please get the Intrinsic Field Experiment 15 from Watchmen reclassified as this as well? If you pay points to play it, it should be legal and not "Cancelable".

Ok, can we just say that if there are non-ships and ships on the map then the whole Star Trek universe has been shrunk and dumped somewhere. And when it's just ships it's normal.
