How are you guys doing the Month 6 of No Man's Land for your venues? This final month is different than Infinity Gauntlet in that there's a prize (the Joker/Harley) for 1st, 2nd, and fellowship, in addition to the BatCave. (Of course, there are also the additional Pengiun gang prizes for the 3 highgang pts. earners)
Both the venues around here have decided that we are going to deviate from the suggested format in that the highest overall NML month 1-6 scorer will get the Batcave. Meatmunk and I talked about it a couple times, and were in accord on it.
One of the ideas I am toying around with is that since you only need 12 pts to qualify at our shop for NML 6, that the Month 6 points earned will count double. There is still a huge incentive to win the overall score that night (you're guaranteed 6 more points than anyone else there), but it would still allow for a heck of a lot more people to go into the last night with the ability to take it all. Probably the difference of 3 or 4 guys having a reasonable shot at it, to 8 to 10 players having a shot. We'll max out at 20 players for the tourny again, but not all of those will be within reach of the top tier of pts. leaders.

thoughts/arguments/flaws you guys can see?
I like it. The only potential issue I see is that changing things after 4 months of a 6 month series might ruffle some feathers. If you have any players that weren't able to make it to all the events, changing the prizing from winner of the final event to most points in the series definitely hurts their odds, and could outright eliminate them from contention.

No range is a deal breaker.

(Special) The Scarab: The first time in a game when Blue Beetle would take 3 or more damage from an attack, instead he does not take damage and is given an action token.
(Attack) The Scarab Awakened: At the beginning of your turn, roll a d6. On a result of 5-6, until your next turn, Blue Beetle modifies his attack value by +2, can use Blades/Claws/Fangs and possesses Battle Fury.
(Damage) Dimensional Perception: Blue Beetle can use Probability Control, but only for attack rolls where he is the attacker or a target of the attack.
This is a strong possibility but seems a little weak for Rom.

(Speed) Stand Together!: When turning the dial, if there is an adjacent friendly figure with the Avengers keyword and the same or higher point value and this click is revealed due to damage taken from an opponent's attack, stop turning the dial.
(Attack) Thermal Vision: Iron Man ignores hindering terrain for line of fire purposes.
No flight is a deal breaker.

(Special) Part of My Personal Inventory: Once per game, give Lex Luthor a power action to place a special object whose name includes "Kryptonite" from outside the game into an adjacent square.
(Speed) Boom Tube Sneak Attack: Lex Luthor can use Phasing/Teleport. When he does, after actions resolve, if he moved half his speed value or less, he may be given a ranged combat action as a free action.
(Attack) My Hatred Will Never Die, Alien!: Lex Luthor deals penetrating damage to characters that possess the Superman Ally team ability or the Kryptonian keyword.
This was my initial go to dial for ROM but I feel like the Hatred power is a point sink that I will just never thematically use.

We average between 8 to 12 players per big event at my venue and I pool from a player base in the area of around 16. My games are early Saturday morning which sometimes is a hindrance for players getting up on time.
By the start of Month 3 it became clear to me that awarding Penguin to the winning gang was detrimental to the players as not everyone was consistently showing up from week to week. So I changed the Penguin allocation to the three players who will have the most victory points earned at the end of Month 6. Initially I wanted to use event points, however my worry was that there could be a higher possibility of an event point tie than there could be for a victory point tie.
That would be my biggest fear with allocating the Batcave on event points. What happens in the event of a tie?

The test predicted two things. 1) I wouldn't be good for the job and 2) (and this is ####ing brilliant) I would be offended by the test's assessment of me. That's some Nostradamus level prophecy right there.
