Leaving for Vegas in 12 hours. Muah hah hah hah hah!
Very cool. You gonna catch any shows while you're out there? Or just general gambling and debauchery? (Nothing wrong with general gambling and debauchery, mind you.)

Tournament of Kings for sure, and trying VERY hard to convince the lady I'd be with to see Evil Dead: The Musical with me Saturday night (but since we're meeting for the first time tonight, not sure if I can convince her...).
Otherwise, general gambling and debauchery are the order of the day.

This can be done a couple of ways, depending on which mathematic "rules" you subscribe to. For example, some people would use the order of operations.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Do multiplication first.
3 x 3 = 9.
Now we rearrange the problem to look like 3 + 9 - 3 + 3. Addition and Subtraction are meant to be performed in that order, but in this case it really doesn't matter. The answer ends up being 12.
If we ignore the order of operations, as is acceptable since there is no real requirement to follow this rule, we get a different answer.
3 + 3 = 6.
6 x 3 = 18.
18 - 3 = 15.
15 + 3 = 18.
So technically, the answer could also be 18.
Do I agree with this? No. But again, the order of operations isn't really a "rule" in mathematics.
Reminds me, one of my professor friends posted an e-mail he received from one of his students yesterday. The student proceeded to explain that he couldn't figure out his grade from the points he received through the year vs. the total points he could have. He didn't know which was the numerator or denominator.
No joke, he asked "I don't understand, do I have a 57% or a 145% for the year? Just tell me if I got an A, B, C, D, or F!"
This is a *college* student.
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"

Umm, can you tell us which college?
I know professors who forget to include the denominator on a test paper. 68.5% is a lot worse than 68.5 out of 75.

Talk about logic fail. I mean unless you scored major extra credit on every single assignment and test, there's no way to achieve a 145%. This student isn't just a failure at math. They fail at everything except sucking.

I've seen two different localesque runs of Evil Dead: The Musical. It's amazing, from a fan perspective. If you haven't seen it, totally worth it.
