In Moscow, London, and Berlin the indiginous heroes saved the day.

Captain Britain, the Black Knight and Sersi easily handled their invasion.

In Moscow, the Crimson Dynamo and the Titanium Man scored huge points with General Zod when they eliminated the Omac invasion.

In Symkaria, Silver Sable and Paladin dealt with their Omacs and had to bail out Markovia as well. Terra was only superficially grateful but kept it under her hat.

Tokyo saw Sunfire and a myriad of Martial artists including the Hand, deal with the problem.

Azrael saw that Lake Ontario blocked him from a hasty return to Gotham City and began searching for ways to cross it.

Day 29: Midafternoon, near a replicated city of Toronto in an alternate reality on an alternate Earth.

Mari McCabe; Vixen, had stepped up to replace missing members of the core Justice League. She had just finished helping Superman, Black Canary, Green Arrow, The Hal Jordan Green Lantern and the Wally West Flash in driving off another attempted invasion by Kanjar Ro.

She was on her way home to rest when she was caught by a rift in reality which engulfed her.

Owen Mercer; Captain Boomerang Jr, was wondering how he got where he was. Wasn't he dead? The other Rogues killed him for murdering innocents while Mercer was trying to help his father.

How was he here in Toronto? Why was he here in Toronto? Nothing was making any sense. He looked around. Something was off. He'd never been to Toronto but he didn't think the outskirts of the city should be quite so wild --- should it.

Suddenly some armed people in blue clothing hailed him. They looked like authority figures. He didn't want anything to do with authority figures right now so Mercer fled via a superspeed burst into the wilderness.

The Shield Agents were unable to catch the fugitive because of his super speed. As they turned back to file a report, Vixen appeared via the reality rift.

She was more then willing to cooperate with the Shield agents and explained who she was and also offered to identify and track the individual of their previous encounter. They were soon joined by Alpha Flight and it was decided that Vixen and Snowbird would track Captain Boomerang and bring him in.

Snowbird was tasked with giving Vixen an abbreviated briefing on what she'd gotten into.

Vixen was relieved to learn that she was where all her missing cohorts had gone.

The two women set out to track Captain Boomerang Jr.

Robin, the Huntress and Sasquatch were trying to locate Azrael.

Suddenly Sasquatch sensed trouble, big trouble. Sasquatch didn't want to endanger his companions so he asked them if they felt comfortable going on without him to find their friend.

They asked Sasquatch why and he was only willing to say was that he was needed to head off something very dangerous that lurked that was beyond their weight class. He then slipped off into the woods.

Robin and the Huntress shrugged and continued to follow Azrael's trail.

Doctor Light was getting to know his new companions. The Mole Man, the Leader, Diablo, The Mad Thinker (Who preferred to be called only the Thinker, thank you), Calypso, The Puppet Master, the Awesome Android and a tremendous number of Moloids.

Dr. Light decided he was very safe in this group.

Azrael was considering his options. Why did everything seem so curiously undeveloped around here. This seemed wrong. It was like he was in a wilderness around the 10th century.

He decided it would be wise to return to Toronto and learn the missing pieces of what was happening to him.

As he began to move, he was confronted by a lynx that was as large as a Siberian Tiger.

Owen Mercer fled from the Shield Agents he assumed were trouble by travelling via several short bursts of superspeed that took him miles away from the city of Toronto and deep into the Canadian wilderness.

Finally, he ran out of gas and needed a rest. He leaned up against a rock outcropping.

Now what was he going to do? He was lost actually, with no idea where he should go next. He had no food or drink. He was beginning to regret running away.

Suddenly, he heard a horrific growl above him. He looked up into the eyes of a terrifying, vicious white beast that pounced down at him.

The Wendigo was working it's way North to it's natural habitat. It had shaken off the two superhero pursuers that had chased it away when it first appeared in this reality and had been trying to get to familiar territory.

The Wendigo had taken only one victim on it's trip. A hapless native American trapper.

Now a new victim had appeared right below the Wendigo as it rested on a tall rock formation.

The Wendigo pounced.

Captain Boomerang Jr, hastily tried to defend himself. He hurled the first boomerang he could grab in such short notice. A tear gas boomerang into the Wendigo's face.

It gave Mercer only enough time to scramble out of the Wendigo's grasp.

The Wendigo charged Mercer again. Mercer desparately hurled a razor boomerang which had little effect.

Mercer tried a desparate speed burst to get some space between himself and the monster but the Wendigo stayed right with him.

Next Mercer tried an acid boomerang. The Wendigo's fur began to sizzle but the Wendigo hardly seemed to notice. Another speed burst gave him some distance and Mercer desperately tried an explosive boomerang.

The Wendigo shrugged it off.

Azrael closed with the giant lynx as it pounced. His armor saved him from the raking claws and he struggled to free his sword to eliminate this thread.

Azrael raised the lynx above his head and freed his sword and ran it through at roughly the same time it was struck by a crossbow bolt from the Huntress.

Robin and the Huntress had found him.

Vixen and Snowbird arrived on the scene fom one direction while Sasquatch appeared from the other. They all arrived too late to save the victim.

The Wendigo was feasting on the decimated corpse of Owen Mercer. Nothing Captain Boomerang tried could save him from his grisly fate.

All the heroes could do was drive the Wendigo away from it's prey.

After several minutes of battle, all the three heroes could accomplish was to drive the Wendigo further North and away from it's kill.

They followed it for a long time to ensure that it was very far away from Toronto before they turned back.

Azrael looked at Robin and the Huntress. Where had they come from?

Robin addressed him, "Jean Paul, you've been brought back to life. Help me help you to not make the same mistakes you made when you lived. There are many things that aredifferent then what you are used to. Come with us back to Toronto so that we can bring you up to date."

Azrael shrugged and followed Robin and the Huntress while the two explained to him what was up.

Azrael, Robin and the Huntress returned to Toronto long before Sasquatch, Vixen and Snowbird did.

Robin convinced the Shield agents and Vindicator that they had things well in hand and Azrael would aid Robin and the Huntress as the DC universe liaison to Alpha Flight during their stay. This was per instructions from Batman after Robin confered with his mentor.
