Slope schmope, I just don't understand why people care so much that Typhon wants to spend his money to sponsor teams.
I haven't been following Sponsorgate.
Is he supporting them for WK events only (or any events with no HCR affiliation) or also for ROC events?
I can see people finding a conflict of interest if he's sponsor them in his own events.

Well, I don't really care so much what Typhon does with "his" money. I quit donating to the site after I was finally able to admit to myself that I'm pretty well done with HeroClix (after so many years of playing and being so invested in the game, it was pretty difficult to let it go).

Here's where I think the slope gets slippery, because from what I read, this is exactly what's going on.
As an aside, when I saw the listing of Con Exclusives on the front page this morning, I actually breathed a sigh of relief knowing there was no way I would be scrabbling and scheming to try and get any of these. Doctor Strange with a d20??? WTF???
I didn't go to Harvard or Yale but I can kick a man in the crotch as well as any other.
Don't get me wrong, some of the character choices are cool - I love me some Strange (Doc and Adam). I just have no desire to pursue getting any of them.

Yeah, I doubt I'll be hitting the 'bay or buying them too early from anyone on this site. In the past I would figure out roughly how much a trip to the con would cost and would spend that amount to get the con LE's. Don't think I'll be doing that this time around. Even the local guys will find I'm not willing to give them much more than cost + gas money for any this year. I'll still try to get them but I won't go crazy for this batch.

Actually on the powerball win plans. This is my idea.
1) donate $1M to the Philadelphia Children's Hospital on the condition I can borrow a really gaunt, good smile, crooked teethed bald cancer kid for a photo shoot.
2) Hire a marketing team
3) Take out front and back inside cover ads with Game Trade magazine, Previews, some indy comic book company.
4) Create an ad with me and the cancer kid playing Clix and call out Wizkids.
5) The public call out. If Wizkids lets me design a full DC expansion... 60ish figures, chases, objects, LEs, Fast Forces, OP map, I would donate $1M to a charity of Wizkids choice, another $1M to the hospital, $1M to DC's charity, and another $1M to a charity of Seth Johnson's choice (with a stipulation he helps me with dial design.)
60 figures could knock out a serious chunk of my bucket list.
I'm all about the peer pressure.
Isn't the main problem that DC has to approve the sets first?
I think both companies do that. DC was infamous for the lack of DC character art on older things like feats and BFCs. I am not sure about why.
It was because DC actually paid the artists for the use of the art. WK didnt want to deal with the extra cost. Marvel has no issue ripping off their artists.
On an unrelated note, I spent the day getting the piles of extras I have in order (mostly because someone offered me a Gladiator chase for as much of CUR from GotG & Flash as I'm willing). Offered a close to complete CU set for GotG & Flash (no bother royals) with extra generics, 14 rares, 3 SRs and a Prime (over 100 pieces). The neat part is that it is made up of stuff i have triples of so I won't have to change my haves any! Hope he takes the offer, I could use the space.
