A suspicious man was following a woman, unaware that he himself was being followed. After investigating, he felt confident that his target was a nasty criminal. "Wait until the town hears about this! I've got her now."
"Not so fast!" A man with large hair was standing next to him, talking very loudly. Where had he come from? "Did you know that most police investigations end up focusing on the wrong suspect?"
"What are you talking about?"
"How did you make the determination that your target was up to no good? Did you know that many standard investigative techniques are seriously flawed? Lie detectors are pseudoscience. In fact, the inventor of the polygraph disavowed his creation and spent years trying to prevent it from being used as a lie detector, because it simply doesn't work. Human memory and eyewitness accounts are notoriously fallible, and are often influenced by the investigators who question witnesses. Even staples of forensic science such as fingerprinting, hair matching, and bite mark analysis have never been scientifically proven to work the way they portray it on procedural crime dramas like CSI. Given all that, I find it preposterous that you think you can determine the truth after following someone around for a few hours."
The suspicious man was left standing somewhat dumbfounded, wondering if he could ever trust his intuitions again, before deciding to carry on with his night.
This reads like a drag to me. "Nasty women" mafia theme?
leave vote with Quebbster to up the ante. Also, as I will be away from the realms most of the day, worse comes to worse, you can remove votes to avoid a lynch -- if needed.
The old man with the Scottish accent was getting antsy. He had made an acquaintance, he had preparation ready, he was just waiting her to return and then they could be off. He waited a minute, two, ten. As he waited he grew impatient, and then sloppy. And when he got sloppy, he was vulnerable. The woman was able to sneak up behind him and wrap her weapon around his neck. She pulled until he died. It was an action that could only be described as nasty.
Looks like Samantha Bee killed the Doctor on the first Night.
After she finished her task, the Nasty woman was returning home when suddenly, she couldn’t move. Scared, she tried to scream out as her body was lifted off the ground. Her body was flung through the air by an invisible force and she hit the side of a building, hard. That would be the end of her.
Is this kind of death a Lost thing? Or something else?

Mm that's also a great suggestion. And fits the kind of Mafia themes I think Mags would use.

Yeah, I thought that was kinda obvious so I didn't mention it. Perhaps I should have. That does mean the preferred mafia hitter is dead, which is always nice.

No idea (the only bit of Lost I've seen is literally the last ~15 min of the finale) but this did make me think - wonder if the SK has an ability to get around defenses. Could be both the abduction from N1 and this kill. Just a thought - obviously no way to really tell at the moment, and I still kinda think the section I highlighted earlier is a failed abduction.
Also, is it just me or is anybody else a liytle surprised Silver is still dead?

You think the abductor, or the "ghost" is the Serial Killer?
I'm curious as to what Hurley's agenda was though. It says that he is the reason that we are all together and he had a plan.
For now I'll just chalk that up to Mags love of a defined setting. Things like that is usually just flavor text in his games. That gets even more likely when you consider that Hurley was Town.
Does anybody have any clue what that first part is or why it's important? It seems a bit random, but so do most parts of most write-ups. This one just stands out to me for some reason
My first guess is Maebe Funke, but I don't know if she's been used yet or not.
