I'm still not entirely convinced this game is going to survive the next year or two.

WizKids hasn't exactly filled me with confidence as of late, and the excitement level at my local venue is is constantly shrinking...

Then, we have those pretty new Star Wars: Starfleet Battles to play with...

I'll be staying too the end, regardless of my new interest in HorrorClix. I'm a BM for my venue and I intent to keep doing that and playing as long as there is someone to play against.

I just opened an AN booster. I found a decent HD Jaguar inside. Since it's not what I hoped for I have to run back to the store and get another.

recently at the two venues that I attend, we have gained in the past two months about 9 new players. wizkids did alittle to help but it mainly was the hard efforts of the battlemasters who recruited these players. wizkids can DO more.

You know, you are quite a funny guy. lol

Long ago (mid '90s), I once spent my last $5.00 for a few magic boosters long ago to get my booster fix and found out that was the last of my gasoline allowance...




Battlemasters need the help of their players too. Sure BMs like me can talk about sportsmanship and helping the community, but the players gotta think of the long run too.

In effect, everybody's gotta be a mini-BM :-)

I know how they can do more: make things easier for players new & old to keep up and have more fun.

My idea: reprint IT-H, Decoy-H, and Aiko Ryohara and Adam Stark clone or two plus other essential goodies in the coming Solaris Battleforce! That oughtta level the field and down some ebay rates some.

I agree on all but Adam Stark. It is hard to compete if some of the basic items are in the rare slot. IT-Heavy was handed out as extra prize support for the first Call to Arms. It still sells for more $20 at auction in those rare times it is available.

There are several cheaper pilots that have the same 2/2/1 33pts stats as Stark. Alberto DeJesus is one. I think we now have 4 2/2/1 heavy gunslinger pilots. (This was pointed out to me by one of my players when I complained about how rare Stark was.)

GS-060 Alan Plisskin 2/2/1 33pts Recruit Cost: 12

Alberto DeJesus is easy to get. Alan Plisskin is harder because he was the Call to Arms prize. I have seen several on auction recently. Both are much easier to get than Stark.

I don't remember the 4th 2/2/1 heavy pilot.

GS-004 Celina Santos is really hard to get too.

The fourth 2/2/1 Heavy is "Lizzie" Waldick of the GF9 lance...and she's very sought after as a piece. (The GF9 'Mech are rather pricey to acquire).

I'd like to see either more 1/2/1 or 2/2/1 Assault Pilots...preferably in Legendaries (Like Deserai)...I dunno though if I want a 3/1/1 Heavy...with CJF not having the markup anymore on recruit...there might be a way they would be used on a pre-Dom Heavy with jump-jets unless they temper that (MDFA reasons). A 3/1/1 light however sounds good...(once again, make them legendaries).

But definatlely more H-class IT as well as variety in assault gear.

Ive always love CBT and MW. Why stop loving it now. There were times when money didn't permit me to play but I still loved it. But now with money and love we can finally be together. :laugh:.

All we have to hope is that new players continue to play. Old player continue to bring in the new players. Most of all, we all have fun.

Hope to see some of you on the battlefield someday. I may have to take a long road trip to do it, but hopefully someday.
