I believe it was. I read Zenith 1 and 2 in actual 2000 AD issues. I imported a bunch of them in the late 80s. I never read Zenith 3 and I am not sure it was collected, although I have often heard it is nowhere near as cool as the first two.
Very good stuff, those first two series. I highly recommend them.
Guys i've been out of comics so long what in the blue hell is all this talk about..could someone take the time to explain. The last thing I Read was AoA series. After that, a couple of X-men that involved Wolverine as Death...All wolverine up until the one Where he fights some Energy all white Electric producing Cathloic Holy bible thumping sword swinging mute.
Any ways what is going on... The last thing I Read about Magneto was he was on Genosha..dont' know why or for what.
And the most recent thing I remeber reading w/ all time lines was Onslaught...and a little after where the heroes come back. But, the Avengers fight Kang or something and all of Like This one City or Coast is all but destroyed and it comes donw to cap and Kang and Cap kills him. Other than those few things whats up in marvel...who is zorn...what happend w/ the kiddie x-men who were on hung on crosses, what happend to Psylocke, what happend w/ the whole Apocolypse collecting the 12 and cyclops dieing and becoming part of Big "A" and ....well you get the point. Also, one more thing, I read some X-title where jean was Dead and some ohter person had replaced her that looked like her but had diff. powers or something... I think they were fighting skrulls too?? or shiar?? Then Prof. X shows up to fight someone w/ a bunch of skrulls ...i think that was a diff. comic all together w/ prof. X and skrulls, but, what was that??
Psylocke was "killed" in Xtreme X-men. I use quotations, because it was supposed to be a trick by the bad guy, but some insane editors decided to interfere with Claremont's story.
Jean Grey and Magneto get to ride on the merry go round a hundred times, but fixing the damage to Bettsy isn't allowed. Can you say Bull@%#*.
I will have to pull ou the story and get back to you on that. It was written by Scott Lobdell along with the death of Colossus. It was a great mini run and should have continued.
Scott Lobdell is second only to Claremont in knowing and writing The X-Men properly. Why the powers that be won't just put him back to work is beyond me.
As for the Morrison run. There is a thread on Xorn where a guy gave a blow by blow breakdown of the whole story, and showed where all the clues to Xorn's being Magneto were present all the long. It's probably on the second page of the Marvel Comics Forum.
The only X-Books I have read every issue of the past three years were Xtreme, Wolverine up to #6 of the current run, and Ultimate up to Return of The King. Still waiting for the TP of Blockbuster.
I've also been collecting Emma Frost, and have every issue of Deadpool and Agent X.
But life would really be easier if you asked me about The FF instead. LOL!
What we mean by Morrison run is that Grant started his writing tour with #118 of New X-Men. He usually shakes up books so much that thing are referred to as pre, during, and post Morrison.
Some of us love him. Some of us hate him. Some of us manage to do both at the same time. But as long as he's gotten a reaction of some sort out of you beyond boredome, he feels he has done his job.
Thanks in part to Exiles I can say that I have ceased my current consumption of New X-Men. The combo of how good Exiles was, the ####piness of the Planet X storyline, and the fact that the same month I picked up my first Exiles was the Planet X conclusion when the price was jacked up (that helped opened my eyes to the fact I was just throwing money at X) allowed me to realize that there is just much, much better out there. It's hard for me because of how much I like Cyclops, but it's even harder watching what's done with him in New X-Men. I'll stick with Ultimate Cyke. The ending of Harley Quinn along with my release from the X spell is allowing me to check out some new titles that I'll seriously consider buying long term. Exiles is a definite. I may start getting Ultimate X-Men issue by issue now as opposed to just TPB, while I'll keep going with Ultimate FF for the first couple issues. And I also anticipate the return of Thunderbolts.
I have to thank Morrison for one thing...he finally slapped me hard enough to open my eyes. I was tolerating mediocrity for a long while with the X-titles, but this was the anvil that brought the camel's back!
Got addicted in 2002, I've tried to get out, new sculpts keep pulling me back in!

WHOA!
I have two names for you sucka: Stan Lee and Roy Thomas!
Also, Millar's work on Ultimate is better than a great deal of Claremont's later works in my opinion.
