I have known about this team havin the list for quite some time. I thought it would have been made more public by now...since there is a huge stigma against cheating within the Vs community. Coming across a list ahead of time may not seem like cheating because it isnt directly breaking the rules, but many will view such a potential unfair advantage as just that. If this team outperforms everyone else at the PC, the Vs. community will most likely turn on them. I thought the team would have figured this out by now, and released the list to prevent this from happening.
I have not really had any interest in the game because there is nothing to do until the x-men set is known...you only need so much draft practice...the real work in a modern age PC is in building and tweaking new potential decks. This list is clearly unfair...but it is not just the team's fault. Honestly, upperdeck should be releasing the sets a little earlier, so everyone has more time to work with them before a PC. If they did so, a previewed list wouldn't matter so much. A team getting the list a little early is only a big deal because we are not being provided with adequate time between the set's release and the date of the PC.
I personally have no proof about the X-Men spoiler. But it was proven that the Man of Steel spoiler was leaked early, at least partially. Somebody came on here and posted descriptions of cards that turned out to be exactly true. So I am inclined to believe that it has happened again.
This may not be a huge advantage. But it is a deliberate attempt to gain an unfair advantage not over one player in one game, but over all other players at the PC. I consider this just as bad as what Hans did. Any deliberate attempt to cheat should be punished severely by UDE.
I feel the appropriate penalty for any player it can be proven received the spoiler would be a lifetime ban from competitive play. Any employee who it can be proven intentionally leaked the spoiler should be fired and sued for breaking their NDA.
And please, if you know (and I mean know, not suspect) anybody who has the spoiler, you should report them to UDE immediately. If you don't, it's as bad as watching someone switch a resource and not saying anything.
A lifetime ban is a bit harsh. After all, the players that have the list, while they may actually know what they're doing is wrong, there are no blatant rules against it. There's nothing that says that you are not allowed to RECEIVE a spoiler list ahead of time, merely that you are not allowed to GIVE one.
I think its funny how one second, people say "GIVE US THE SPOILER!" and the next we have people saying "WHOMEVER HAS THE SPOILER MUST DIE!" I think the team with the spoiler should step forward, hand it over, and then be immediately shot in the face with a blackpowder musket from a distance no greater than pi inches. Any requests for a last cigarette are to be denied.
I'll be perfectly honest, if I could have gotten my hands on it ... I would have posted that ####er for the world to see. Even playing field, that's all I ask.
I doubt if it was posted here even for two hours that someone didn't copy it. It could all be made fair if someone just posted the list right here and now if that where the case.
Well I'm starting to see what all the fuse is about now.

I would like to have the spoiler. First, to see if there was an X-man search card. And Second, to see what the legacy cards are, which if you can tell is from the perspective of a fan-boy. I do think having the list early is wrong and if I possessed it would publish it for the VS realm to see.
I see cheating as wrong w/ no shades of grey. If you are cheating, no matter what it is you are doing, it is done w/ the intent of winning the game unfairly. I think all cheaters should be banned for life.
There is, however, a difference between cheating and a mistake, but that is a whole different can of worms.
If you got the list and just looked @ it and said, " Wow! Neat!" Then you are told. You have the ability to keep the list and turn it in to UDE. Also, since it was just a glance it is not going to provide you w/ enough advantage for it to matter. Even if you went over the entire list how much are you going to remember. But I dont want to argue this, you make what you will of each situation by your own intentions. If you choose to use that knowledge ahead of time then you are cheating. I wont know your intentions, but you will.
