This isn't personal to Pi, but to everyone who has shared your opinion:

A character can be EVERYTHING and still be an interesting literary character. RE: Jesus.

I know it's opinion based, but I don't know why the fact that Superman has a multitude of powers prevents anyone from enjoying the character.

I dont see How having more POwers makes you a Worse Superhero.

People Like Say Silver Surfer have More power than Even Superman, yet has yet to be brought up. Even though most of his comics are him complaining about his problems and just shooting lazers. He Doesnt Inspire anyone.

However The Flash (which some people classify as having 1 power which while tech correct, is far the the end all) HE can Do everthing fast, Superman Moves and Thinks Fast, Flash has Total Control of his Metabolizism and can Seperate his atoms via Vibrating. He can Travel between dementions and Back in time. he can Heal him himself Superfast. Although Superman can run fast he cant do any of those things.


You also Have to think of the Treats that Caracter has to deal with. Could Wolverine beat Darkseid in a Fight?? (I am not going to Answer, although most of us know what it is) Thats why there are POwer lvls. If Superman Hung out in Back alleys stoping Muggers all day then he would be a bad hero, however he spends his days rerouting Floods, and Stopping EarthQuake (how would you even go about doing that BTW)

So with the Idea of Power lvls in mind I say the Worst is....
Captian Planet.
This Guy doesnt Ever fight Super Villains, and only picks on industiralist, and regualr people. He shows up and Shows off his Total Control of Nature. I mean this guy has Superman lvl powers, and fights Low-Mid lvl villains (most of them stupid also)

Superman is the worst.

He uses his X-ray vision to see hot women naked, and gives them radiation that kills those beautiful women, so I can't enjoy them later.

Worst superhero has to be anyone in the Squadran Supreme. Marvel couldn't make up their own so they used what works for another company and gave them awful designs. Yay.

To be fair, DC also "ripped-off" Marvel characters with the Extremists and then the Maximums.

On a similar note, almost every Golden and Silver age DC character existed as copies of themselves on the various "Earths" in DC's pre-Crisis continuity. With that in mind, didn't DC just rip themselves off, over and over and over again?

It seems like Marvel's re-interpretation of the Justice League as a totalitarian power, imposing their ideals on the people of the world through use of their god like powers is a lot more original than making Superman younger and renaming his work place from the Star to the Planet.

Just my take, though. ;)

It was originally a joke and a kind of "Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more" type of thing at first with the Squadron Sinister, who were Hyperion, Whizzer, Nighthawk and Doctor Spectrum. Obviously they were parodies of the JLA, but it was a tribute to the JLA at the same time. Then, DC made the Champions of Angor in collaboration with Marvel creating the Squadron Supreme. They both created those teams at the same time. Both were teams that parodied the competition's main "random heroes joined together" team. Then, people liked the Squadron so much, they came back in many other crossovers and have been fun to read in Avengers comics and their Limited Series ever since.

Yeah, see what everyone else said in the above few posts.
