He pulled that on MAXIMA.....so I take it in his next appearance he not only had a bionic arm put the contents of his jockstrap?
and it was before she had her heel-face turn, too! let's just say her patience was sorely tested and it's a good thing barrage wasn't the only non-cooperative teammate

Remember kids uncle TKD says "Don't do eugenics!" it never ends well.
Hmm, or maybe "Eugenics is for farm animals, not people".
Superman Revenge Squad, Oh this is the best one yet, and it really gives a boost to the 75 point dial. At 150 you've got to be gunning hard for your opponents tentpole, but at 75 you should have more options.
Man, I remember when 150 wasn't even a tentpole point value.
Almerac Courtship, and the flip-side of her point value, this is much better at 150, making her not only harder to hit put punishing you if you manage it. Hehe and Maxima's anger issues finally pay off with that free attack and it opens up her attack options. It's only on two clicks, but I like the opportunity to Charge with a heavy and then give that enemy tentpole such a smack!
Whatever Maxima Wants-- Maxima Gets!, I believe the polite way to say it would be "Verily she doth press her suit too strongly".
At top value you'll hopefully be able to use her Shape Change, Super Senses and Impervious on any incoming attack. Maxima likes to roll saving throws!
At least her perspective beau gets some nice Energy Shield/Deflection and Wildcard....maybe that possessive streak isn't so bad.
"I may not see the road I ride for the witch-fire lamps that gleam;"But phantoms glide at my bridle-side, and I follow a nameless Dream." R.E. Howard
A much needed character so we can recreate some of those wonderful JLU fights.
What a great, but unusual dial layout. The asymmetry of the layout with the spot of P/T and RS on the speed track go a long way of showing us how she is meant to be played. It says, when you get hit for 4 on your top click and land on click #3, get your ass out of there.
The pairing of the Shape change with the willpower means her mid-dial / rookie dial is going to lean heavy on that trait. Which is perfect, because that means she can Smoke Cloud and still get an offensive move off.
The above average range means she can stay next to the bossman, pumping damage by 2 and turning all your secondary attackers into howitzers.
A subtly, but finally crafted dial. Quintessential Baron.
Oh Prof Milo. What a character. Once made Batman afraid of bats.
I like the focus on turning your friends into monsters. The healing on the full dial is a great translation of this power. But the focus on the 15 pts version is fantastic. I really want to pair him up with IIM Grey Gargoyle (actually make him half useful).
Yes to all the wonderful point options to play this guy. Each version is worth the points.25/50/130/ even the 155 points is not the nuisance to build around as it would seem with cadmus having the nice odd points with the optional traits and all.
On his 25 pts that attack SP makes him a must for any soldier theme team.
Then at 130 points (or 155) he will be such a pain in the neck to your opponent. I think the strategy would be KO everyone else and just keep this guy incap'd until time expires.

haha, oh when she was a a man-hungry suitor-pursuer she was so interesting. it was a niche concept (maybe even nietzsche) but she cornered that market fantastically. alas, revisionism is ever-present everywhere, but i really feel like it butchered her in particular
this is the angry, self-centered, self-service maxima that take what she wants and makes no bones about it, 'cause the entitlement is stronger than her dial so it's all about finding a worthy mate (as determined by point value = power, not entirely true, but convenient here). all her SPs have a certain element to it, above and below too play with her point value options to get different aspects of them more easily. cheaper dial will pull off her outwit trick more but the fully molly will be able to subjugate the lesser unworthy with enamoration all the more easily. her powerset lends itself to the 3 saving throws so let's go for it. 150 is asking a lot these days, so i wanted her to feel beefy at this most expensive value here and also still feisty at what would be her cheapest option
then you get to "joker's daughter/harley's puddin" a character into being her "intended." i left it open ended so you could pick an ally or enemy depending on if you're trying to impress superman or ...coerce him. so yeah, moving right along, and that way the side-by-side esd/wild card either gives her fuel for her superman enemy ta and a range focus with a friendly, or if you choose an opponent, it let's the two of you feel more like the only ones in the room since you're off together and can't be as easily picked off, but snuggly rendering it moot for those close "advances." and then she cheats with her so she can still have range focus if you want all the while getting those free smacks
why *smack* won't *smack *you *smack* love *smack* me?!?! *smack*
Pro move making the superboy trait an optional one. I like that the shared defense goes both ways.
This guy is is some great fun on a cadmus team. The super perplex and leadership make him a shoo-in at 60 pts.
thanks
the two-way defense sharing felt appropriate as they watch each other's backs. he's psychically warning conner with his super senses while conner can step in and block attacks for him with his fill-in-the-blank. or drop pearls of wisdom to boost his willpower. these felt like safe options that'll help out most superboy dials that don't tend to these. and the optional cost definitely felt like a must sense i *cough* failed to include conner in this set
the mega-support of the stretches his brainpower and lets those mental muscles have a time to shine. gotta justify that psychic kw, after all

He really fits the mad scientist mold. I'm glad you went with the ultimate-crazy mustache art for him.
we all thought beardhunter was insane, but 1 look at dabney's lip-weasel and it all starts to sound like sense...
but groucho's most mad distinctive to me was always those hyper-reflective glasses that give his non-eyes a soulless impassion paired against his ravings
the mad scientist of mad scientists, and that's saying something in a world of luthors and sivanas! i knew he had to have some kind of clone mechanic for him. and instead of a 1 click pog, i figured there's a sculpt for what you want already, so to make it work and fair, using that very sculpt for it after KOing them would be efficient and make you have to work for it so it won't be broken

oh, thank you. high praise, my friend.
she was disappointingly absent and the could-have-beens of jlu were a large influence on this set list, fitting the theme. plus her wild bronze age stories were a neat material to mine and worth a look if you're into old school horror books. her is a big part of the dial, i had that crafted before i put the rest of the dial together and let it's support of your big gun and seduction of theirs be the foundation for the rest. the rookie is more of the tala we saw in the cartoon and the vet more of the comic succubus.
i really dig how you analyzed that third click that very much was how she operated as phantom stranger's foil. mess around with humanity and when a fight finally came to her she bounced out to mess with humanity again next ish

The P/T flavor text is awesome.
lol, that one came up when the jsa interrupted his surgery . as much as that haircut would make you want to, you can't call this guy dumb
making batman afraid of bats has got to be his crowning moment of awesome. take that, dr crane! but his signature was his monstrous experiments. dr karl malus professor milo was notable for his werewolf serum and also when he took over arkham and made everyone madder so i geared both dials around that universal to stir up your team into beasts. if nothing else, you'll never be upset at whiffing a 1 on a support roll with this guy
the 11th click one-click wonder is a thing i'm playing with as a bonus mechanic in this game to give value added to the gotham gang, so i'm glad you like it's hyper focus and look forward to more of it. paired with a legit full dial, this is an experiment into what the jsa could have been in jw. the why-not-both approach

Fun fun fun.
you know, that's not all that different than how batman had the league handle him
4 point options for this chase means you get to play him more. and for what you'd have to pay to get him (either secondary market or the amount of boosters to pull him) i want you to get your money's worth
ironically, i was heavily influenced by the cheap support of thunderbolt ross for the opening rookie. he needed to command his troops and the simplicity of removing adjacency requirements while stockpiling all those adjacency-based powers made him pop for me. so that swagger of half-parade rest with a smoking stogie in his hand exudes the jerk presence the dial had to match. as a soldier-support, he should be the best bar none. eat your heart out, ross. eiling did it first
but that big hairless shaggy man is the eye-catcher, isn't it? inspired again, this time by his last appearance, i didn't pull punches and let that streak of purple say it all on those printed values. despite the range focus, it's intended to be shades of old school to punish any fool that closes the gap. the considerable healing of the steal energy streak and the deep reducers make him a slog to get through while he blasts away.

Superman Revenge Squad, now that's an effective special, if you can pull off Leadership in the same round that's going to give your opponent a nasty surprise.
The World Needs To Know: Your Ratings Exclusive, oh someone is asking for a heavy object to the forehead, four is a very Charge friendly range! Very powerful and very dangerous, an excellent special for the 20 point line.
Superman's A Menace!, I'm sensing a "Punch Morgan in the face" trend to his specials! Very useful....for as long as Morgan can stay hidden behind the scenes!
Those Fools Will Look To Luthor… While I Am Left To Pursue My Goals Without Interference…, man I love that 20 point dial and the 30 dial can kneecap the right keywords, but 35 points is hard to resist, Defend at 18 with Enhance leading to this most excellent STOP with special Shape Change.

morgan edge is all but forgotten, it seems. he was this wild combination of lex luthor, maxwell lord and j jonah jameson. he was also the mastermind behind the revenge squad, well post crisis at least. pre-crisis was just a race of fussy alien minions, that were actually the superboy revenge squad, but that's neither here nor there
i decided on 3 flavors. the 35 pt is the reason he's here, with his nefarious plot and framejob for luthor. to his credit, he did try to instill teamwork into the original roster, but all along he intended them to fail so he could foil luthor. i mean, he invited barage
but i thought he deserved his pre-crisis take before he got into cahoots with darkseid and was just a jerkface businessman, but an honest one. so he gets to run the daily planet to boost ratings and he's not afraid to fire any reporters that aren't hacking it
and then in the middle, why not go for the clone of morgan made by darkseid that went south and led to the retcon of morgan was working for him all along. that one is channeling the jjj with the knowing nod to his menace ability that nerfs the superman ally ta. also, as a layered meta nod, since rutger haur was the first person to play him, and it's clone and all, i included a blade runner replicant reference in the ss flavor text
Superman Revenge Squad: When Baud uses Outwit, she has ⦿ █ ●. I Can Vibrate Through, Well… Anything! See…?: Phasing/Teleport. After resolutions, if Baud moved in a direct path, make a close attack targeting an opposing character she moved through, regardless of adjacency.
She's Bold
She's Bad…
Not Bad… But I Hoped It'd End With A Bang!
Oh, Pooh!
Miss Me?
Hail, Hail, The Gang's All Here!
That Won't Work With Me!
She seems like she could be a good guy given the chance, I'm surprised she has so few appearances.
Zipping around the map breaking reducers, she's going to be a champ.
Imagine her on that Yu-Gi-Oh maze map.
She's squishy, but so much fun!!!
She's going to be great at batting cleanup and getting rid of pesky support.
And on her last click just go ahead and take a shot at her, you might get past her Shape Changes and Super Senses.
i future-proofed her with the mainframe kw, but that has less chance of getting fleshed out than her ever showing up . she was a gynoid on a team of robots out to take over the world/destroy all humanity or something, that ol chestnut. and as part of their longterm plans, they loaned her out to the second iteration of the revenge squad.
and yeah, she was awfully personable, despite her villainous alignment. she was a big flirt, too. even batting her eyelashes (metaphorically speaking) at the big blue boyscout
her main thing was incorporeality which i tried to use here with her sp and setting up fun straffing runs. having her bat cleanup does seem like the right call. tons of walls are her friend, both for her sp and her , so map choice can be key to get the most out of her. i decided to get cheeky with her flavor, since she was cheeky herself. so when she asked supes on their second encounter if he missed her, i felt that could be fun ss flavor. the end dial is at her weakest but also her best staying power, and it might only be a printed 2, but hss always makes things relevant
i could see her brought back from obscurity onto the side of the angels. all it takes is a writer with a heart to

Superman Revenge Squad: When Rock uses Outwit, until the start of your next turn the target cannot use Mastermind or Shape Change. It's Payback Time, Luthor: Quake. That has got to be the most comic book-y name for a rock guy I've ever seen. Have you met his cousins "Basalt Stone" and "Slate Quartz"?
I do like him as a Thing Expy, he's got that revenge patter sorted!
Superman Revenge Squad, oh as an anti-Luthor power this is a winner. Lex is not going to be able to pull his regular shenanigans with Micah on the case.
I'm Not Stopping Until My Hands Are Around Luthor's Throat, wow, Micah has "Seek & Destroy" down pat.
It's Payback Time, Luthor, especially when combined with this.
Rock closes and doesn't let go, I think the term "Strangle Hold" applies well in this case.
If you need to lock someone down, Micah is your mobile geological formation!
