Happened to me before. She got the job because she was friends with a supervisor there. She always had to ask me how to do things or what to do. She transfered to another place because her mom was friends with the district manager
Don't worry the rapture will have its way with people like that. You know, when ever it happens.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
I'm gonna say original due to box from the old OH warehouse the giants coupon and the fact it was addressed to different loation then my current apt.
That just kills me. I think this is remarkable no matter how you slice it.
On another note, I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall as I deal with a co-worker's ego and defensive nature.
Also, how about how quickly those TRU GSX figures sold out online?

I wasn't surprised by the quick sellout. I knew the some of the people who ordered were going to order numerous figures so they could resell/trade. I do know that a good man, Soxolas, was able to get his Apocalypse that he wanted.

For a moment, I thought about trying to get those figs online. Then when I read that folks online were just scooping them up, I figured it just wasn't worth the hassle. If these are coming to B&M stores later this year, then I can wait.

It's worth the hassle to me. I don't have much else in Heroclix that I need, so it gives me something to chase around until Cap comes out. I'm not actively calling Toys R Us or going to the stores everyday or anything, but it's been a weird mixture of fun and irritating trying to find or trade for some.

Great picture. That's what I was telling everybody who was taking it even SOMEWHAT seriously. I love how on Yahoo news there is an article titled "Preacher Flabbergasted" saying how the guy who made the prediction is totally confused as to how he was wrong (Despite the fact that he has made false predictions multiple times in the past)

We got to talking at work about the rapture. There was a guy on 60 minutes who spent a truckload of money putting up billboards & handing our flyers about it. They had coverage of him standing on the corner waiting for it while people laughed at him and waived his pamphlets in his face. It was funny and sad all at the same time (the guys whole belief system was brought into question while people watched - but at the same time, he was on a street corner gleefully waiting for the end of the world).
Then we got to talking about the people who quit their jobs in preperation. Would they be taken back today or would their bosses have to tell them that they had been replaced by more reliable sinners? This world gets pretty silly sometimes.

If I were an employer, I'd be very tempted to say, "You trusted your faith when you submitted your resignation. Trust in your faith again to get you employed anywhere else but here."

Thankfully, I'm not an employer.
Spike as a hard-###. :speechles
Remind me never to get on your bad side.
I didn't go to Harvard or Yale but I can kick a man in the crotch as well as any other.
If it were me as the employer, I would have to base it on how the person quit. If it was done respectfully, then I would consider it. With the way the justice system works, I would be afraid of legal troubles based on religious persecution if something was done otherwise.
