I know you were mostly kidding, but the McDonald's coffee case is a pet peeve of mine. She didn't sue because her coffee was hot. She got 3rd degree burns from the coffee, which McDonald's would serve at about 190 degrees. She was an elderly woman who had to undergo multiple skin graphs to fix the burns she received. She couldn't afford the medical bills so they asked if McDonalds would help out with them. McDonalds told her no, despite paying out over 700 previous burn cases due to their coffee being too hot. The reason she got the money (which was later reduced and then eventually settled out of court between her and McDonalds) wasn't because the jury felt sorry for her. The reason was that McDonalds as a corporation felt that it was easier to pay off people than it was to go and fix the temperature that their coffee was served at, which was deemed to be much to hot. (McDonald executives actually laughed when asked if they would drink their coffee freshly served or even let it touch their skin.) It wasn't meant to reward her, but meant to send a message to McDonalds and other corporations that you can't endanger people and expect to just get away with it.
Didn't she put the coffee in between her legs in her car? I've heard this story numerous times, but I've never heard this telling of it. Thanks for a new spin on it. Irregardless, we as a society typically blame the victim more often than not.
This Ogre may have found his GenCon team. It's certainly done very well in testing.
Like others have said; after you've done some more testing, I'd be willing to check out your team via PM and give you feedback. I've found it's always nice to have more eyes look at a team to find weaknesses. I was planning on competing in worlds this year, but alas, finances are not what I was expecting. It would make my day if an Ogre won GenCon.

What's even worse than the McDonald's coffee case is another legal case where somebody put their RV on cruise control, then went in the back to take a nap. The RV crashed and the owner sued the RV company because they didn't put a warning about needing to stay at the wheel.

I bet his team is the Blizzard Hooker Bomb with support by LE Rahne Sinclair and 5 Thugs.

She did. I just watched a documentary about it and the ramifications it's had on our legal system as a whole last week. What had happened was that her nephew was driving and they went through a drive thru at McDonalds. He pulled into a parking spot so she could add her cream to her coffee. She put the coffee between her legs and it spilled, giving her the burns and injuries because the coffee was too hot.
She wasn't exactly innocent in this because she did spill the coffee. I think the jury put it at 30% her fault and 70% on McDonalds. The main reason she got such a large sum initially was to send a message to McDonalds and other corporations.
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.

"Irregardless" is not a word...irregardless of how many times you see or hear it used.
EDIT: Okay, it's a word, but its' nonstandard and reviled for using a double negative.
It's amazing how little I know about the English language, yet I seem to think I know so much. Well, now I'm feeling rather stupid.
Check da edit.
Apparently it is a probable mix of regardless and irrespective. But it does use an overly descriptive double negative. 'Irr' and 'less'. Irregard (which isn't a word) would mean to 'not regard', and regardless means 'without regard' - so it's like saying it twice in one word.
It hasn't reached 'acceptance' stage, but it is in the popular lexicon. Okay...carry on.
I miss bombing hookers. Which leads me to my next topic...
I found an article this morning about a 4th of July accident. I absolutely hate the Final Destination franchise, but it reminded me of that. Here is the link. Essentially, a guy was lighting illegal fireworks. One exploded and decapitated the guy...like, literally blew his head off. When his neighbor ran over to help, he said the only thing there was from the shoulders down. I'm sure you can imagine the horror.

I almost spit my coffee. Thanks for that.
I wonder if that would qualify for the Darwin Awards?
