I really, really, really wish there was a real-life situation where I could tell a large group of people, "YOU ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO SPEAK THE WORDS TO LIONEL RICHIE'S SONG, HELLO, AS YOU ARE INTIMIDATING PEOPLE."

Yea, Want to see if we can get at the same hotel as Spike so we can cause chaos the whole trip
Yeah, see, my doctor told me to stay away from the chaos, it's not good for my health. I am, however, allowed to get up to shenanigans, so I'm all for that.

Where does a "hootenanny" fit into that spectrum?

What SDCC 2011 needs is a good-ol' HeroClix tournament that us Last Posters can dominate!
Hey, are we supposed to reveal ourselves as the Secret Santas in the package?
Man, that one is gonna get all twisted!
I think we pretty much know what part of the country each Last Poster is from so I don't see any problem with it... but Smudge is running the show so it's his call and I'll go along with whatever he wants.
Rules question:
I have Alex Luthor on my force and I play the Power Dampening Field BFC. Everyone on my opponent's force can hit for more than 4 damage. Can I counter the BFC with Luthor's SP at the start of my turn then cancel the SP at the end of my turn so that Power Dampening Field goes back into effect? I'm curious about the timing...

I'm thinking no because of the specific way the power states that it works. The fact that I say no means the answer is probably yes so you have that going for you.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

I happen to have just asked Norm about this since we were IM'ing anyhow; Bud is correct. Cancelling Alex's power will have no effect on the countered BFC, no more than cancelling Barrier will drop the blocking terrain placed by the power earlier that same turn.
Once Alex cancels Power Dampening Field, it's cancelled until the beginning of Alex's Controlling Player's next turn.
I hope this helps.

You'll walk up to his table and he'll start laughing. He'll be laughing so hard he won't be able to draw you anything
Remeber that "wisdom" thing Muncho mentioned earlier? You know, don't be an ### before you get what you want? Well, going to your first Con with a bunch of folk who have gone before and making comments like this is a bad combo. I'm not saying you won't come back from Boston, just not with the rest of us. and for the record, I am the spaz in the group, and your the new guy. We'll have fun with that.

A-ha! Good to know. Rep coming, unless I need to share the love first.
EDIT: I knew I repped one of you guys too recently. For some reason, I thought it was Bud...

You know, I always say that "crap rolls down hill" and I've always wondered who, given that he is the Spaz, Kurt could give crap to.
Now we know. The Spaz (and by extension, anyone above the Spaz) gets to give the New Guy crap, and the New Guy can't say "boo" to it.
So, it certainly behooves Suga to find another "New Guy" before Boston.
Like the Rock says, "Know your role".
