That team sounds brutal to begin with. I'm curious what the other guy had.
And I know a thing or two about ludicrous holders of the hammer. When Wizard Shazam! managed it a month or so back, I just sort of winced and mouthed the words, "I'm sorry."
Hey, it's the team from Avengers #1-#6. Don't blame me, blame Bendis.
My buddy's team was pretty absurd -
FCBD Green Lantern
Chase Batman
GF Black Widow
Anti-Venom
GSX Storm
Av Black Panther
WoS Spider-Hulk
GSX Domino
IC U Wolverine
I think he was doing some kind of movie theme. It looks like jank, but it is pretty brutal.
(Busy, busy morning so far. Even when I thought I'd caught a little break to check in here I was almost immediately hit with something else.)
As for "decimate," I'm reduced to impotent fist-shaking of the "get off my lawn" variety there, I'm afraid. I'll never use it for its increasingly accepted, derivation-destroyed meaning, but I have to accept that that ship has largely sailed. Language changes, and I'm sure that if I were to sift through the lexicon of words I casually use I'd find at least a few words that prior to my learning them had been tortured and abused into meanings never intended when first coined.
I miss bombing hookers. Which leads me to my next topic...
I found an article this morning about a 4th of July accident. I absolutely hate the Final Destination franchise, but it reminded me of that. Here is the link. Essentially, a guy was lighting illegal fireworks. One exploded and decapitated the guy...like, literally blew his head off. When his neighbor ran over to help, he said the only thing there was from the shoulders down. I'm sure you can imagine the horror.
Now whenever I hear someone saying he's preparing to "enjoy life to its fullest" I'm going to expect imminent death by misadventure.
