3 is majority, but only three players have votes today, me, IR, and Calmnic.
To get a lynch on anyone, you require all 3 votes. Calmnic can't be lynched regardless. I'm not going to vote for myself, so I can't be lynched, and I assume IR feels the same way.
That leaves only Darkstone and MSU to be lynched. I would assume IR doesn't want to lynch Darkstone for fear of himself dying, so I guess the only way to make progress is to lynch MSU. Who's in?
Or you can vote no lynch to get this pointless day phase over with.
____ "Tails! Ah screw this coin! We're not gonna abandon our best pal!"
____ She dropped the nickel and ran over to Smog, to help her stand. She put Smog's arm around her shoulder and stood, holding her.
____ "You and Luthor can kill eachother for all we care! But we're not joinin' you!"
____ Luthor and Thrush had been fighting while Psynox made her choice. There was a thunderous crash as the tree-boy fell backwards into the side of a building.
____ "Smog, kill them!" Shouted Luthor.
____ "She's done Luthor, it's just you and me now," said Cypress.
____ Luthor floated above the wreckage of Times Square and gazed around at what was left. Hemorrhage's body lay in a pool of its own bloody mass. The bodies of the former Birds littered the street. In the distance the crowds watched on, and up above them helicopters recorded everything. Smog leaned on Psynox's shoulder, while buildings were missing windows or huge chunks from their frames. Behind him, Thrush was passed out against a skyscraper. Their battle had caused so much destruction and so much death. Luthor sighed.
____ "I never wanted this. Why did you have to interfere with everything? Why did you have to come here, so you could be some hero? Things were fine before you showed up. The Nest would have been destroyed, the Birds eliminated, and society would have gone on happy and functional like it has been. But you've ended that, and for what? Justice? There is no justice in society, only injustice. But I made it work, I made things whole again. I was a hero, goddamn it!
____ Now society is cracked and broken and who's going to put it back together? Mutants? It was our dependency on mutants that broke everything the first time! We relied so much on super-powered beings that we forgot how to fend for ourselves. I brought humanity back to what it was, for the people, by the people."
____ "That's a great speech and all," said Cypress. "But attacking a specific group of people is wrong, no matter how you try to justify it. You're not a hero, you're a monster."
____ "Enough. I do what I do for the betterment of society. I know I take on some sins while doing it, but I bare them for the greater good. I don't regret my choices." He turned to the two women. "Smog. End this."
____ "We don't see that happening," said Psynox. She was holding a small, silver ring in her hand. "Found this on my pal's finger." She tossed it towards Cypress.
____ "You were controlling her."
____ "She's a mutant. I was augmenting her abilities. Influencing her choices. Come on now, her kind could never be trusted. She served a purpose, like they all did. Don't you dare judge me, your little Birds were just pawns for you as well. Cannon fodder."
____ "No. We were a team."
____ "So were we. Smog, kill them now!"
____ "No..." coughed the woman in green. "It's over Luthor...fight your own battle, I'm done. I'm going home."
____ Luthor shook his head. "You've made your choice then, mutant."
____ An arc of lightning erupted from Luthor's gauntlet and struck Smog in the chest. The woman fell back.
____ "Red?" Whispered Psynox. "Hey pal. No Red, stay with us...Red..."
____ She died in Psynox's arms.
MSU is dead! He was Smog - Mafia: The Society. [Poison Ivy / Storm]
____ Seeing his shot, Cypress blasted the President. The force of the attack cracked Luthor's battlesuit and sent him spiraling through the air. A container on the suit exploded, burning his body and leaving a hole in the titanium.
____ "Agh!" He tried to rise in the air, like a bird with a broken wing.
____ Psynox rushed in, leapt off the ground, and extended a fiery katana from her fist. She pierced through the hole in Luthor's suit, and dragged herself down as she sliced through his leg. She landed on the ground below him and shout out a burning tendril.
____ Luthor dodged the tendril and flew higher into the sky, as blood dripped from his suit.
____ "This isn't over!" He exclaimed, full of pain. He flew off using the backup power in his suit and disappeared out of sight.
____ "Coward! Come back n' die!" Screamed Psynox.
____ "Don't worry. He won't get very far with that malfunctioning suit. It's over."
____ Psynox wasn't impressed. "So what? He took my Red. Your Birds took my puddin'. There's nothin' left for me."
____ "Well," started Cypress. "There's prison."
____ "You're kiddin'."
____ "You still killed a bunch of people."
____ "That was a Hyena!"
____ "She was still you!"
____ "You killed people too, Slim."
____ "People that deserved it."
____ "Slippery slope, that. Think the cops're gonna accept it? 'Oh no it's okay that I off'ed that guy and burned the President's house down because he was a big meanie to me and my friends.' "
____ Cypress couldn't exactly disagree with that. "I guess you're right. Fine, I'll keep your secrets if you keep mine. But that doesn't mean I'm going to forget what you did. If we meet again, I won't hesitate in taking you down."
____ "You can try." Psynox started walking.
____ "Hey Slim, what're you gonna do now anyway? Join a circus? Oh no don't, you'd make an awful clown!"
____ "I think I'm going to open a school. A school for mutants. This society still sees them in a negative light thanks to Luthor, and I want to change those misconceptions. I have a dream. A dream where mutants and humans can live together in peace. I want to be the difference in this world."
____ "That's swell, I guess." Said Psynox. "Whatcha gonna call it?"
____ "The Charles Summers Center For Mutants Who Can't Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too."
____ Psynox cringed. "Uhh, that's a horrible name for a school."
____ "Oh. But I named it after Ol' One Eye. Well forget about the name of the school for now. I'm going to train some of the mutants for a new team, and name it after myself. We'll be known as The C-Men!"
____ "Gross! You're awful at namin' things, love. We're leavin' " Psynox jumped, webbed one of the buildings, and swung away.
____ "I'll think of something good, don't worry!" He shouted after her.
____ Hmm, the X-League could work...
____ "Hey Thrush! What do you think about the X-League?"
____ "I am Thrush."
____ "He loves it."

____ The train roared as it lurched into the outdoor station. It was a beautiful day, with blue skies and a heavy dose of sunlight for everyone. People came and went, chatting, reading, listening to music. The Wanderer watched them and felt content.
____ A black clock overhead read five to three. His train would arrive shortly. Cool benches lined the outdoor station. The Wanderer stretched out his legs and yawned.
____ "Mommy, look at the star!" Said a kid, passing the bench.
____ "Come along honey, there's no stars during the day."
____ But there was. The Wanderer glanced up and witnessed an object falling out of the sky.
____ A meterorite?
____ It landed a few miles away from the station, in a corn field.
____ Two minutes to three.
____ I can't just go over there...I've already waited for two hours.
____ His train chugged along in the distance, slowly advancing through the clear day.
____ Fine, I'll take a look.
____ He strolled down the station's hard steel steps, turned towards the trees, and started walking.
____ The tall corn stocks blocked out the impact zone. The Wanderer couldn't tell what the object was, until he pushed aside the final strands and stepped into a circle filled with flattened corn.
____ A bald man in a titanium battlesuit crawled along the stocks. Blood dripped out from his hip, and his leg had been broken when he crashed.
____ "Luthor?" asked The Wanderer.
____ The bald man considered the voice. The look of agony on his face painfully morphed into a smile.
____ "Deadhawk, my old friend. Please, help me."
____ "What happened to you?"
____ "This? This is what I get for trying to help my country. But don't worry, I have a plan. Plans within plans. I'm going to come back, better and stronger than ever. It will be my second chance. Now please, help me up."
____ Deadhawk was still. "Your second chance? That's funny. I met a blind man that believed in second chances. He believed people could change. But me? No, I don't believe in second chances." He pulled out his crossbow and shot Luthor in the arm.
____ "Ugh, why?!" Cried Luthor, grabbing his arm.
____ "It's who I am. See a long time ago, I was a mercenary and a killer. Well, I still am today. That's not a bad thing though, it doesn't mean I can't help people. But I am what I am. People don't change." He shot another arrow into Luthor's arm.
____ "Aghh! Stop!"
____ Deadhawk went on. "I guess what I'm saying is, you don't need to be on the top all the time to make a difference. Sometimes being on the bottom helps you clear out the other trash that's down there."
____ Luthor tried to slowly crawl away.
____ "Do you know what a deadpoint is?"
____ The bald man continued to crawl.
____ "You better answer, my trigger finger is getting itchy again."
____ "No okay! I don't know what a deadpoint is!"
____ "See a deadpoint is that feeling of weightlessness you experience during a climb, brought on from a dynamic move upwards. It's like feeling you're on top of the world, you know?"
____ Luthor grunted.
____ "Well the thing about the deadpoint is, you always come back down. You can be on top for a while, sure, but that weightlessness you feel is only temporary. Eventually, everyone comes back down."
____ "What's your point?!" Cried Luthor, as his blood pooled onto the corn.
____ "If you can never stay on top, then why bother? No one stays on top. It's much better to stay on the bottom and catch those that have to come back down below. Welcome to the down below, Luthor."
____ Luthor tried to crawl into the corn stock that was unflattened, but Deadhawk pulled him back into the circle.
____ "Now that we understand eachother, tell me something. Who is The Last Son?"
____ "What?" Luthor was taken aback. "I...don't know. Really, it's just a myth. Please Deadhawk I-"
____ "You're lying." Deadhawk pressed his foot into Luthor's broken leg.
____ "Ahhgh!" Cried the bald man. "Stop!"
____ "This isn't the deadpoint anymore Luthor! This is the bottom! Who is The Last Son?!"
____ "Aghh! Okay! Just stop!"
____ He moved his foot away.
____ "Tell me."
____ "The Last Son is a very...dangerous being. They say that when it arrives it will bring the end of the world with it. The end of the universe. Everything."
____ "Then why have you been researching it?"
____ "To find it and stop it! Contrary to popular belief, I'd actually like to keep this planet intact so I can damn well live on it."
____ "What about the blood monsters?"
____ "What blood monsters?"
____ "I found a list that said 'Creations' at the top and then a list of powerful monsters that derive power from blood. I knew their names, Luthor. What were the other names on the list?"
____ The bald man hesitated.
____ "What were the other names, Luthor?!" He tried to step on the bald man's leg again.
____ "Back off!" An arc of lightning shot forward.
____ Deadhawk dodged it, spun around with his crossbow in hand, and fired an arrow right into Luthor's bald head.
____ "Tell me the other names!" Deadhawk bellowed. He grabbed Luthor by the collar of the battlesuit.
____ "This is the Down Below, and you don't get to keep secrets! Who is The Last Son?! What are the other names on the list!? How do I stop them!?"
____ The body of the bald man rocked limply.
____ "Luthor!" Deadhawk dropped the limp body. It crumpled to the ground against the corn stock.
Calmnic is dead! He was Luthor - Mafia: The Society. [Lex Luthor / Dr. Doom]
____ "Dammit! You selfish son of a #####! You knew the truth didn't you? Didn't you?!" He punched the battlesuit repeatedly, again and again, until his knuckles were bloody and raw.
____ It wasn't until the final punch that Deadhawk noticed that he'd cracked a container open in the suit. He reached inside and pulled out a slip of paper. There was an address that he didn't recognize as well as some scribbles and notes. Two things caught his attention, both underlined.
____ "Island of Monsters."
____ "Inferno."
____ It can't be. No, it must be a different Inferno. It couldn't be the last of the Legion of Exiles that was corrupted by Desperado.
____ But how could he be sure either way, unless he saw it for himself?
____ He glanced at the note again. "Off the coast of...what the hell is an 'Australia' ? This damn place and their made up words. Well, whatever it is, maybe there I'll finally discover the truth."
____ His red tattered robes brushed against the flattened corn stock as he turned to leave. Then, with a smirk on his face, he turned back to Luthor's corpse.
____ "Consider this your impeachment, 'Mr. President'."
____ He laughed and strolled out of the bloody corn field.
____ Time to hunt some monsters.
The End
