If it's any consolation, I'll hate myself on this too as I'd really like to see both of our characters continue.

I do have my doubts we shouldn't have freed Girathon - at least to split the difference with you - but no way we're getting that done before phase closes.

So theoretically speaking, if it's just Immortal Raven who's cult, would that lend any weight to me being a townie who was merely stupid about the use of his power?

Or even seeing Immortal Raven's name come up as voting for himself?

I'm awake and reviewing what I missed. I'd love a vote count because there's been a lot of talk this phase.

Odd that Quebbster didn't post overnight. I guess Gira is collateral damage? We don't have much time left there.

Of course Gira could be the kidnapper and Quebbs the kidnappee, though I think that is unlikely.

Could a kidnapper be MD'd into themself? That would be kinda funny, and I really want to read that writeup.

I don't know but this post makes me more confident he's about to flip cult.

I know we don't want to show our hands and my jailkeep may be useless (for protection anyway) against Dani Vengeance but do we want to try to coordinate?

Like do you want to give two potential scummers you won't try to kill so I don't busdrive you into a townie?

____ Lock stumbled through the barren plains, with the purple tendril sticking firmly through her body. She tried to mentally call for help, but it seemed she was too far from the town. Whoever Clown had been, he sure had a good idea on how her powers worked and how to kill her.

____ There was a large black barn up ahead that she had been shambling towards for some time. On the edges of the structure were small symbols that she didn't understand, and frankly she didn't really care. She pushed forward before collapsing inside the barn.

____ "You've really done it this time, you plotz!" She said aloud. "You should have never turned your back on 'em." She knew that when she got out if this barn and back to town, she was going to hug Anti-Spawn and tell him she had made a huge mistake. She just needed some rest first.

____ The barn creaked in its old age. The first time it happened, Lock thought nothing of it. It was the skitterings across the roof that worried her. Vamps. She was immune to turning into one, thanks to a serum she had taken a long time ago from her old friend Red. But they could still attack her, maybe even eat her, and she really didn't want a fight.

____ "Can you go away, I'm kind of in the middle of bleeding out here."

____ Despite her protests, they slowly trickled in.

____ They stuck to the shadows, mostly, like cockroaches towards crumbs. Eventually she lost track of how many had come in. Two dozen maybe? Way more than she was ready for. Of course, if she was going to be food, she'd make them work for it.

____ Then something unexpected entered the barn, something that actually made her smile. "Gangles?"

____ The short purple man entered cautiously until he saw Lock sitting alone in the middle of the floor. "Lock! Gangles got a message in his head that you were in trouble."

____ "Yes I reached out earlier. Please help me."

____ He started to come forward, before he noticed the eyes in the darkness. All of them. Pale bodies with long webbed wings shifted behind her.

____ "Uhh..." He stammered.

____ "Gangles please. Help me."

____ More eyes. More wings. Gangles backed away. "G-Gangles is sorry Lock. Wahh...Gangles is sorry." The small man ran off out of the barn again, leaving her alone.

____ "Gangles? Gangles no! Come back!" But it was too late, they had already circled around her.

____ She stood with shaking legs. Her energy blades detracted. "Heh. I'm gonna slice you all to teeny tiny little bits. Now who's first? Banzai!"

____ They swarmed her.




____ Anti-Spawn was tired from walking so far from the edge of the city. He hoped that what he experienced was actually a signal from Lock and not just some trap. Either way, he was going to find out.

____ He came across a dark barn with odd symbols and decided that that was probably where the signal had come from.

____ He walked in and found seven vampires huddled over a body, feeding off of it. Other dead bodies littered the area.

____ "Hey!" Shouted Anti-Spawn. "What have you got there?"

____ Two of the vamps looked up, with fresh blood splattered onto their pale faces. Behind them, Anti-Spawn could see someone with a purple body suit.

____ "Lock?"

____ The vampires rushed forward. Anti-Spawn shook with anger. He shot two fiery webs into their throats, slammed them into the floor and then ripped their heads off. The other five took notice and stood. That was when Anti-Spawn got a clear look of the corpse, and his whole body sank.

____ "You sons of bltches!" He screamed before running towards them. They revealed their fangs and tried to attack but it was clear that they were outmatched. He tore through them, punching through pale faces to the squishy muck underneath, slamming limbs into walls, and even gouging out eyes. In the end, the last vampire had its wings ripped off and then fed to it as it choked.

____ He kneeled down before Lock's body and picked her up in his arms. Her flesh had been mostly eaten and pulled away. What he held was a skeleton in a purple body suit, with occasional patches of skin, hair and blood.

____ "No! No, no, no, no, no! Lock. No. I won't let you die, you can't die. No!"

____ One of the vampires was still alive, and crawling away with two broken legs.

____ "Lock, I know what to do. I know what will save you okay?" Anti-Spawn hadn't become his true form for a while now. He started to melt down into a black liquid, which then formed over Lock's body, covering her completely. Her eyes opened once more and together two became one.

____ Yet it was different than before. As Psynox they were two in one, purple, with the shape of a woman's body. Now they were dark grey, with long skeletal claws and the horrifying face of a skull. A masculine body with fire rippling through bone.

____ "You moron," said the vampire. "Your friend is dead and you are driving a skeleton."

____ The dark grey monster took solid, powerful steps towards the vampire. "You're right. Anti-Spawn is no more. Lock N' Load is no more. Only Grey Matter remains..."

____ Then the monster picked up the broken vampire. It was going to be a long, fun night.

____ The blind man started to set up on the roof of a small abandoned house, opposite the old church. Ammo and different sized guns surrounded him, yet he knew there was only one weapon he needed.

____ He pulled the bazooka out from the pile, and balanced it on his shoulder. They were in there and he knew it. This wasn't child's play anymore, it was time to take a definite stand against the sinister group known as Midnight.

____ The blind pulled the trigger and fired. Woooosh, the missile blasted forth and struck the church dead on. The explosion was imminent, and something inside whimpered loudly. The bricks of the old church began to collapse, the clock tower fell, and the rafters broke in two. Fire engulfed the wood and in the carnage the church crumbled.

____ The blind man was pleased. "I love the smell of burning fur in the morning."

____ He packed up and hurried away.




____ "Come on, hit me!" Said the teenager, who was dressed like he was from an 80s movie. He floated in the air, goating his target. "Come on, you stupid monkey."

____ "Rahhh!" Shouted his opponent. Although ape-like, the opponent had scaly rocks all over his body. The rocky ape charged forth, grabbing the teenager and throwing him through the tunnels like a rag doll.

____ "Ooof!" Into a pile of rocks he went. Climbing out, he flew forth once again. "That all you got?"

____ But the rocky ape did not react this time. It winced in pain, and turned around. Behind it, a pale man in a dapper suit stood patiently.

____ "Gwaaa, youuuu challenge TURG?!"

____ "No. You are a formidable opponent, and I've never been one to harm a monster. However, you are starting to become a...nuisance."

____ The rocky ape looked like it wanted to fight, but instead it started to lose its balance and became wobbly. It didn't take long for it to fumble into the wall and collapse. It died soon after, with a green syringe sticking plainly out of its back.

____ "Jesus dude, what's wrong with you?" Said the teenager, readying his fists.

____ "You should be thankful, were't you two just battling?"

____ "I didn't want it dead! You're a menace and you need to be stopped."

____ "Yes, I do." Then the pale figure disappeared into a puff of smoke.




____ Vengeance had cleared out a swarm of bloodsuckers near an old stable, and was riding back towards town when she saw a young woman sitting on a grassy hill. Oh look, another fang. She drove towards her and fired her colts.

____ The young woman hurried to her feet, narrowly missing the flaming bullets. She tried to cast her own but they came out as frogs instead.

____ Vengeance leapt off her bike and fired in mid-air. One of the bullets hit the other woman in the chest, knocking her flat on her back.

____ "Vengeance has come for revenge!"

____ "Revenge?!" Said the other girl. "On who, on me? What did I do?"

____ "Uhh...Just, you know, general revenge."

____ "But it's not revenge if you're just shooting random people!"

____ "Okay. Okay but you're a vampire!"

____ "No I'm not!"

____ "Well...okay, what are you then?"

____ "An accountant. And a pretty ####ty illusionist."

____ Vengeance lowered her weapons and walked towards the injured woman, who had now sat up again and was holding her chest.

____ They sat down together on the grass.

____ "Okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shoot you. What are you doing here anyway?"

____ "I didn't have anywhere else to go, I thought I'd practice some illusions and maybe some spells out here."

____ "You can do that?"

____ "Yeah, my dad taught me a bit when we were on Earth, you know back when Earth wasn't destroyed."

____ "...what's Earth?"

____ "You're not from Earth? Well, it was pretty great. It had flowers, and hamburgers, and my father. He was a Strange guy, but he really was the best...he, wow I'm getting kind of tired."

____ "Tell me more about Earth."

____ "I didn't get your name."

____ "It's Dani. Tell me more about Earth."

____ "That's a nice name...Dani...you should use that one instead."

____ "I used to. Tell me more about Earth."

____ "Oh right. Earth? It was peaceful, for the most part. Not like this place. Not crawling with vampires. I don't know, it was just...just...sorry I'm so tired. I think I might...have a quick nap."

____ "Okay. It sounds nice, so does your father. When you wake up, you can tell me all about him."

____ They sat on the grassy hill and watched the sunrise on the horizon. Dani never felt more alone.
