I know your all thinking that this looks like an unoriginal fiend deck but the magic cards i think is what makes it unique

Ectoplasmer=get rid of your fiends fast, do damage to your opponents life points without having to run into trap cards, and screw up your opponents plans because they have to give up a monster as well

Mirage of Nightmare= dark cards fast, and throw away the fiends you dont need, (sneaky trick, memorize scratches or thumb prints or w/e on the back of card cases so dont accidently throw away somthing u need at random ;) )

The problem with Shadowkiller is that in order to make use of his effect you'd probably also need a Giant Trunade or Heavy Storm in hand to ensure it'll work since all it takes is one face down spell or trap card to stop it. MK-Bugroth holds the best advantage here as it only needs Umi on the field to directly attack AND it gets a boost, not a weakening with ALO.

Ah, I see the problem. Frankly, there are too many places, too many decks and so little time. If you're looking for some specific deck help, just go to one of the various "tactics" things, request help and post a link. There are just sooooo many decks in the deck depot.

Yeah, you usually have to find an attractive title to see SOMEONE take a look at your deck. And I can't think of one!!! ... oh well... ^_^

Yeah. A lot of people also don’t like to rate/fix decks in the deck depot because they are al the same.

I always take a look at decks that describe a strategy on the title.

“Normal Monster Fiend deck”

or

“Ectoplasmer Goes Wild!”

Something like that.

And I also think a lot of people hate the fiends because of what we’ve done to the Realms! LOL!!!

I myself changed my deck around a bit last night. Metamorphosis has become one of my favorite cards so I added a Magician of Faith back to my deck.

I also FINALLY found my “Reaper on the Nightmare”. I thought it was in the “Fusion” book, then the “Zombie” book. I’d looked EVERYWHERE, except in the “Direct Attacker” book.

I think I’m gonna change it back to just going by “Sets” book.

I’m also going to try Optic Camouflage Armor, since both Goblin King and Thousand Eyes Restrict are both level 1.

I’ve got 2 Soul Exchange in there now. And I’m hoping to find room for Fissure in there soon.

I’m trying 1 copy of Last Will too.

Has anyone here become as enamored with Metamorphosis as I am?

I used to be huge on Metamorphises, and Dark Balter the Terrible is still one of my most favorite cards, but it is simply such tech, and there is so much removal running around that a 2-for-1 can end up hurting you too much. But back when I used to run it, I used 2 with 2 Mefist the Infernal Generals, and that worked out nicely. One thing I liked to do was if I knew what my opponent's monster was I would attack first with Mefist and then Meta it into Balter. It runs nicely with 2 Level 5 monsters, Sinister Serpent, Magical Scientist, and 2-3 Scapegoats, but I still find that you're changing your deck around too much for just those 2 cards in your deck to have it really be that effective; it takes a lot of punch out of your deck. But if it works for you then run it by all means! To each his own.

I would really like it if someone could view my deck (link is in my signature). It's not a Fiend-based deck, but it does abuse Chaos Necromancer... ^_^

Nice to see you pyrofire. It seems that I stopped using Metamorphasis recently because of a similar tendency to what you stated. It was such a tech card. Great in certain situations, but not for everything. I started to shift the rest of my decks around to complement Metamorphasis until I had lost the original aim.

(I do love a Meta-centered deck though!)

No one more so than Gailsad! Not that I can blame him, we probably burnt out his email box. (PS: in the Water Tactics, he seems to think this thread is over and dead):(

I absolutely LOVE Metamorphosis and I definitely enjoy morphing monsters into powerhouses. I'm beggining to think about running "Falling Down" and more tribute monsters again too.

with Metamorphasis, I do think it is fun to have a lot of Tribute monsters, or at least a way to trigger Meta-. the kind of tricks you can pull are pretty amazing. If you name all the cards that can be centered around a tribute fashioned deck, it could look a lot like this:

Dark Ruler (why would you morph the king?)

Believe it or not, there are MANY reasons why. I had my Dark Ruler face-up with Archfiend Soldier and had my opponent on the ropes, until he drew, said “It’s ABOUT TIME!”,set a card face-down and smiled at me and said, I got something for Dark Ruler” Well, I used Metamorphosis on Dark Ruler for Senshi, then Monster Rencarnation and got Dark Ruler back, and tributed Archfiend Soldier for him. When the duel was over, I looked at the card. “Sakuretsu Armor!”

Another time, I activated Last Will, tributed my Dark Ruler for Shenshi and Ssed Byser Shock, returned all their sert cards back to their hand and Metamorphed it into Balter. WHAMMY!

When you look at it, makes you think it should have been at least a rare card. But remember that the best monsters to meta are Dark Balter, Fiend Skull Dragon, Thousand-Eyes Restrict and the occasional St. Joan. The levels here are 1, 5 and 8. At the time, the number of playble Lv5s was quite limited. Lv1s consisted entirely of Kuriboh and Sinister Serpent and maybe, though unlikely, Exodia pieces. And of course, if you had a Lv8 monster, it probably already had more then 2800 ATK so what was the point in moprhing St. Joan.

But now! Look at all the choices. Still not as many as we might like but the numbers are growing. Doesn't seem like it'll be long before Metamorphisis is a really useful tech-card that doesn't need to be the centre of a deck.

Yeah, I still have to give props to DMU for the Meta-Fiend revolution going on here I mean come on, he was the man puttin' D.D. Trainers into TERs before we were really thinking on it hard. Plus you name a fiend and he's got like two instant ways to meta him into something lethal 8^D. Call it the chameleon/ditto fiend deck or something....8^D

Speaking of Shadowkiller above, that gives me even MORE inspiration (I still have to finish Vegas Archfiends first....dang these temptations away from my Jedi quest....) for my FienDillie-O: Pulverizing Anguish deck.....all around Inferno Hammer (and you though that was just a fun sidebuild contest Waldo...8^D)

Just think Inferno Hammer is beating and putting monsters face down. Tsuyukomi is putting monsters face down. Byser Shock is removing them, Shadowkiller gets free rides into the lifepoints, and to make it all more flavorful. Mefist himself is running a Ballista of Rampart Smashing to get an additional 1500 worth of LP damage to trample and hand remove with.

Kinda that whole Return of the King thing when the Orcs & Trolls & other Nasties make it into Gondor and are pummeling everything....man that gives me shivers.....8^D
