The town would have benefited greatly in the endgame if IR had been town. It is strictly better from a town standpoint if the mafia kills a survivor at night instead of a townie because a townie won't side with the mafia and cause you to lose.

So when you claim survivor at the start, you take that favorable night result off the table to protect yourself. You're hurting the town to help yourself. That's town unfriendly.

Know what the town is supposed to do to town unfriendly neutrals? Kill them.

You died night 1 or 2, which means you would have had to catch up on a whole lot, and we needed someone to be active during the day phase right away. There was a cult, though I didn't believe it at the time, and no one was trusting anyone. I didn't want to rez the Vig and have someone offing more townies based on hunches. Also, Sstral said his power involved using his eye to "look around" so I thought he was an info gatherer. With so little trust, I thought a confirmed town info gatherer would be more useful than a Vig.

I sent the pm rezing Sstral at the top of the phase, thinking it would happen immediately. When it didn't, I considered switching to you. But with my honesty still in doubt, i thought it better just to stick to my word.

Well actually at that point, it was in IR's best interest to kill you. Things were split pretty evenly, except that the Mafia can kill at night. So in order to save himself, flipping on the town was the best option.


That being said, gfishfunk your targeting was spot on. Like I really wanted to see you survive. You played really well.

Unfortunately, Luthor's kills couldn't be doctored and he killed almost every night.

Yeah. I've never had good targeting as the doctor, so I felt really good about where my doctoring landed, though just as often I was trying to find cult.

That was how you kept getting blocked with the vote steal and not the other stuff.
