The General grabbed a trash receptacle and brought it down upon the red mailbox. The mailbox warped and twisted, flowing around the weapon. The trash can flattened as it hit the ground, and the mailbox returned to it's original rigidity.

"Really," Brainiac observed, "the technology at the disposal of the Postal Service is astonishing. Yet they still can't my subscription to Better Spacestations & Gardens delivered on time."

The General smacked himself in the forehead.

Flash was still a little drained after that exertion to take out Grodd, but he had seen another of his "regulars" that way causing trouble. There was still too much fighting to be done to start pushing his limits but Jesse might be up to it......

Flash:Jesse, I saw Weather Wizard down there beside Luthor. If I lend you some speed can you make it down there.

Jesse: Of course I'm up for it!

Jesse and Wally have history......no not that kind of history. Jesse was once stripped of her power to lend it to Wally, she still is a little bitter about that. There was no way she was going to let him know she was having trouble keeping up. As Jesse started to take off with Wally in her wake they passes Brainiac the General and Plasticman. Wally thought to himself, wow are they out-classed. Poor Brainiac and General.

Flash: There the guy is the goofy looking costume with the power rod.

Jesse: Hi, bye!(as she popped WW under the chin)

Flash: Hey, Jesse get us over to help O'brian.

As Flash stopped next to the General, Wally expected his foe to face him right away........but Plasticman seemed to have their complete attention. Wally smiled again.......O'Brian was like that.

Firestorm had just seen Weather Wizard shoot at him after Maxima had done something to make him weaker. Expecting the hit, he braced for the jolt of energy......... but it never hit him. Ronnie looked around and saw a grasshopper that looked a little fried but no other marks.

Firestorm: Really, wow........impressive. Try this.

Ronnie couldn't believe it, a grasshopper took that hit. He shook his head as he shot at his foe......mercifully putting him out of his misery.

Hal knew that his former teammates were doing well. But being who he was, Hal could see the potential in a lesser foe. He would not allow Luthor to implement any of his contingency plans. He glided to the edge of the overpass an shot a small beam of light from his ring towards Luthor. As the green energy traveled towards it's target it started to change shape. It clamped him to a construct with a green ringed target facing outward. Lex was completely stuck. Hal already knowing what would come to pass looked over at Ollie. Catching his eye he nodded towards Lex. Ollie looked over, looked back and smiled.

Ollie: Now I just need an arrow or two.

As Ollie looked around at his scattered quiver....dang monkey.....he noticed an arrow that wasn't green. Looking more closely at it he noticed he noticed that it was a dark-blue....almost black. It had two symbols on it, one was a bat. Obviously Bats had snuck a arrow of his design into his quiver.......he'd have to talk to him about that. The second symbol identified who it was designed to take out. But he wasn't ready to take that shot yet. He put it in his empty quiver as he reached for an arrow more of his style, an injection arrow-head with a strong dose of Fenobarb. That would do nicely. As he nocked the arrow he let fly, hitting dead center of the created target. Lex started to say something but it turned into a release of air as he fell soundly asleep. Hal dissolved his construct dropping Luthor back to the ground.

Ray knew who had to be dealt with, Grodd had come here and almost took Ollie out. That kind of power had to be stopped.


Ray: J'Onn, we need to take care of......

J'Onn: Maxima, I am aware Raymond. I will take care of it.

Ray: Good, just remember that she's weak......

J'Onn:The moment you thought it Raymond I knew it, you don't have to say it.

Ray: ......oh......
J'Onn started to concentrate she wa a little farther than he'd have preferred but still reachable with a lesser shot, but it should suffice. J'Onn send a telepathic suggestion to Maxima that she had lost her ability to use her mind control power.....it was a struggle Maxima had considerable mental power. But J'Onn had just seen a teammate almost ripped apart.......he would not be denied. Maxima seemed to almost slump to one knee.

O'Brian was really quite proud of himself. Keeping these two busy was really something useful.....although in Brainiac's case it seemed like less of an accomplishment.

Plasticman: Don't you know that it's a federal offense to try to damage property of the postal service! And you(turning to Brainiac), you didn't even try to stop him. That makes you an accessory....... here take this!

Flying out of the door flap came a rolled up magazine that hit Brainiac square in the face. As Brainac picked it up he noticed that it was a copy of Better Spacestations & Gardens .......

Brainiac: I didn't know it was an offense or what he was going to do.................hey!!! This is my copy! (narrows his eyes looking at the mailbox) You know General, I'm not sure that this is a mailbox.



The General could still not believe Brainaic..............in fact he made up his mind right then and there that he wasn't even going to try. Yes the thought, that would certainly be for the best.
