Alliance and Diamond, meanwhile, will continue to service on-hand inventory,
including the recent Arkham Asylum release for DC HeroClix, In addition,
both companies will work with Topps to fulfill all promised Organized Play
and Arkham Asylum Buy It By The Brick promotions.
"We are disappointed by this very unexpected news," said Daniel Hirsch,
President of Alliance Game Distributors. "We have enjoyed a great
relationship with WizKids, and together have brought great products and
promotions to thousands of retailers in the U.S. and Canada."
Lax Chandra, President of WizKids said, "Through this strategic partnership,
we achieved efficiencies and had many successes, including significant sales
growth for HeroClix and successful new product launches like Halo. I
personally hope to work with Diamond and Alliance, who have a great team, in
the future."
"We wish all of the WizKids and Topps staff the best," said Hirsch. "They
were an amazing crew to work with."
Lead me not into temptation, just point me in the general direction and I'll find it myself.
Then You all can call me Mr. Big Talking Shoe! not the end, after December all Pieces become Chase level Super rares, now I'm sort of glad I never got to sell my older sets. my heroclix plasticdome just became as valuable as my comic book collection printed before the 90's.

I'm betting within a week, Theis will post giving us as close to the straight dope as he can. And if he can't give us anything, likely he will post saying: "I'd really like to, but I can't give you anything."
I don't think 'Clix is dead. I think Topps just put it on the ultimate diet, so to speak. It killed WizKids because the other product lines were not doing so hot, but I bet either Topps will just continue to produce 'Clix or they had a buyer for the brand already lined up, but this buyer just wanted HeroClix, not the whole WizKids company.
I feel worst for the good employees of WizKids. Theis really seemed to have a vision, and hopefully, he'll get to carry it out.
This is really messed up. I mean didn't they just sign up for another 5 years? I was really looking forward to what they had planned for the upcoming HoT set and all of the other stuff I have heard throughout the rumor mill. Someone has to pick it up. And hopefully the sculpts won't take a hit in the transition.
