Thanks for the post, Jake. Based on your blogs, it seemed like you had/have a great plan for the future of HeroClix. I, for one, certainly hope that you or someone is able to secure this line for future developments. I find it hard to believe that someone wouldn't be able to see the dedicated and passionate fan base as evidenced here at HCRealms for this game and not think it would be a good idea to try and revive this game.

Even if it doesn't work out in the short term (I refuse to currently believe that it won't work out eventually), don't be a stranger here on the Realms.

On another note: Dear Lord, please, please, please let me win the $51,000,000 Mega-Millions Jackpot tonight. Because, you know, I could keep people employed. 'N stuff.

I believe it will continue.
My gut feeling is "we" will save Heroclix by continuing to play and purchase product when someone does buy the Heroclix line from TOPPS.
I hope whoever does end up with it will have the sense to pick up the services of Jake and others who know the game and have a plan for the future.
I seriously doubt this community will have the ability to raise the capital necessary to buy it outright, although I think it's a very cool idea.

Heroclix will live on. We will see to that in a variety of ways, possibly even by someone here with access to the kind of wealth required making it happen. Who knows?

On a side note, I am really happy I put Captain Castle on my ignore list. From what I see quoted from him and the reactions, I recommend everyone else do the same. It's kind of like the story of "the turd in the punch bowl" - it really doesn't matter how big the punch bowl is, one little turd will tend to spoil it for everyone!
If he's on everyone's ignore list no one will see him, no one will quote him, and the punch bowl stays clean!
