Wait, that might night be true. Turtles started late 80s, right? Trying to remember when my passing interest in the Renaissance was. How about I knew of him outside of the Turtles. Thinking though that you might be right.

I knew Donatello from before the Turtles, but I was exposed to all that via Art History classes. Only one nit-pick - given that Donatello died while Leonardo was a boy, I feel that he is close in time and in the movement to "group" him with the others. Donatello's David is pretty iconic. Also, I have always seen him categorized as a Reinassance artist, albeit early 15th century, true.

Now Bramante was a contemporary of Leonardo and Michelangelo - complete agreement there. However, what rolls off the tongue better? Donatello sounds cooler.
