Got the penultimate chapters of two of Marvel's ongoing events right now - Fear Itself #6 and Schism #4.
Fear Itself #6 was a good read, but I think the slow pacing of the first 5 issues really killed off a lot of it's momentum. #6 shouldn't have been #6 - this should have been #5 or even #4. Now it looks like all the cool battles are going to be compressed into #7. Very similar with how Fraction wrote Utopia, where the final battle(s) was squeezed into 1 issue, resulting in a lot of the action happening off panel (meaning, most of the action left to the reader's imagination).
Schism is okay, but I can't completely buy Wolverine's reason for disagreeing with Cyclops' leadership. After everything that Logan's experienced and done throughout his life, he decides to stop following Cyclops for this??????

Yeah, it doesn't make sense, considering he's been handling the black-ops team of x-men. The issue itself really didn't strike me as being anything other than a turf war between Cyke and Wolvie...again.
You fight for what you have, you don't blow it up. Then there's the rumor that Cyke will be following Magneto's doctrine and Wolvie Prof X's. How ironic that the man who used to tell Chuck that things won't work that way will be pushing for it. To be frank, I'm disappointed by that X-title.
Buti pa X-force with the all new and improved Archangel is a good read. Same with X-Factor and New Mutants.

It makes a little sense in that X-Force has to do the things they do in order for others not to have to do it. But Cyke wasn't ... Next time na lang baka spoilers masyado eh.
Astonishing xmen is not good at this point. Baduy and insignificant yung story.
Schism is actually good. When you read Xforce (hindi uncanny xforce), nakita na ni wolverine what happens pag nabinyagan yung kids pumatay, malaking negative effect as seen with x-23. Ayaw na nya maulit. Sya rin kasi pinatay nya tatay nya when he was young...so alam nya effect ng ganung trauma.

same here. am currently into x-factor and uncanny x-force. So frustrated with the other x-titles. much better to just read/reminisce the old issues.
Have been reading quite a few #1 issues from DC52 and noticed a woman wearing a purple hooded suit in all of them (so far)
I saw her in:
Wonder Woman
Deadman
Catwoman
Capt. Atom
Blue Beetle
Batman & Robin
Legion Lost
Action Comics
Detective Comics
Justice League
Red Hood
Suicide Squad
Batgirl
Green Lantern
JLI
Deathstroke
Red Lanterns
Green Lantern Corps
Frankenstein
Supergirl
Naalala ko tuloy yung "Slice of Life" ni Larry Alcala sa Weekend Magazine na hahanapin mo yung mukha nya
Good times

But Cyclops is only asking for help fighting a Sentinel, and the kids were volunteering... Wolverine's been mentoring Kitty, Jubilee, even Armor, and now he's got issues with the Five Lights helping out to defend Utopia?

Cyclops wasn't exactly asking. And it was a virtual suicide mission. There's a difference between training young ones to handle themselves in a tight spot and in feeding them to the wolves when there are other options. Cyclops is becoming more "by any means necessary"-ala Magneto which Wolvie has issues with.
Regardless, this whole "Schism" storyline is meh. Take me back to the 90's when big events actually made sense.
Ecchs, haven't you heard? Yung x-titles magiging issue #1 parang sa ginawa ng DC sa titles nila?
yah, i know. with that happening and the secret six series over, it's good na marami pa akong di nababasa sa stash ko na mga back issues from different comics. oh and yung bagong DD pala, ok naman, featuring Cap and Klaw (recently re-clixed).

He was. And Hope's unit basically volunteered. Cyke even said that if anyone wants to leave, they can go.
But agreed on the storyline. It's okay, but it's clear that it was written with the goal of dividing the X-Men, a change in status quo so it feels really forced for me.
