Norm Told us that the finals were by invitation only and on the Gen Con website it stated that is was essentially a free event ie no tickets needed.

I don't know about that. If Metron had outwitted Shazam's HSS or Thing got in a first hit on Shazam, the game might have been different.

I definitely got DQ'd by all fault of my own. But I did specifically ask if I needed a ticket the night before, and was told yes. But I still should of gotten the ticket right then. But none of it matters. It was my fault completely.

Yea I also agree. Great win for the champ, but making the mistake of trying to outwit first turn could be as epic a mistake as me being 6 minutes late. That sucks for him.
