You would think so, but then you'd have to ask yourself: Why didn't more pitchers do it? And why have we seen a decline in hitting ability, but not pitching ability? Why are pitchers not involving themselves in as much weight training than the rest of the team? What happens if a pitcher decides to buff out?
If you look at the physics of throwing, taking steroids and hitting the weights, isn't going to help a pitcher throw any harder. It'll help them recover a whole lot faster so that they're ready for the next game, but improve their pitching ability? I'd have to see some hard science for it, and there's none out there.

Maybe this is what they're only after?

Well, I would say, for those that are actually using it: Yes.
But, Doom's accusation is pointing at a particular pitcher's ability to make an overpaid jackassery team look like a team full of overpaid jackasses. Which as Mal pointed out, is tremendously hypocritical, and as I have pointed out, doesn't make sense anyways.

Actually it would help more with recovery time and endurance. The mechanics of pitching is not helped by bigger muscles. In theory it could help a pitcher that normally would have an 75-80 count limit, reach 90 (100 may be stretching it) pitches per outing.
If you let them kill your dreams, it'll haunt you.

It really depends on the type of weight training he'd be doing.
You can train to increase overall explosive power (which is different from strength or size), but, that'd be the only thing I can see moving over to pitching. Pitching seems to be far more about technique than power anyhow, so it seems a moot point.
Not officially.
Besides, these last few items have gone from the RSS feed to the front page in a matter of minutes. Including time to edit in pictures and crap. Let me be proud of my accomplishments.
oh, and in the Brightest Day cases I also need to find other images than the ones WK uses as we can't post the whole character card etc on the front page - it would be too much.
And when I have found a suitable image I then need to download it to my computer, then upload it into an album so I don't link to off-site images on the front page.
The second building in the left side of the screen is where I work. My girls got a big kick out of seeing that.
According to the geography of Batman Begins, my office is right across the river from Arkham Asylum. And I had to deal with an entire summer of street closures for principal camera work, so I expect that it'll turn up in Transformers 3 as well.

Transformers 3 will have scenes set in Arkham Asylum? Cool.
