Thor the reigning took on nightcrawler last night with two rounds of pulsewave. Thats it. Knocked him right past his first two clicks in two rounds and there was nothing NC could do. A pulsewave character getting tked into range. That has to be one of the most simple stratigies that I have ever seen a player do. I was playing x-men theme vers. an asguardian theme an nightcrawler was out of the equation in the first three rounds. I still won, but NC got stepped on so quick that it was not even funny!
Way too many "natural enemies" like Bullseye. For 125 points in Bullseye you are basically auto-killing Nightcrawler, an 86 point piece. Kid Zoom would be worth it if he auto-won or auto-killed anything. He doesn't. I would also love to see what a NC team does against, what imo was the best team at World's, Metron + Thing. Seriously he's going to what? Bring the guys that are trying to get to your starting area there quicker?
I didn't realize Bullseye could shoot through walls.
As for Metron + Thing, Nightcrawler just breaks them apart so that the thing is stuck in hindering (or, ideally, through a couple walls), can't remove tokens from Metron, and is next to someone he needs to roll a 9 to hit (and metron shouldn't be able to see thing for PC), and NC has 2 saving throws.
I want to know why #05 Dr. Manhattan wasnt included in this.
In my honest opinion he is the most broken overpowered character. He has upwards of 3 chances to evade all damage, then if you got some PC on your team watch the hell out. I mean jesus, this guy has an entire dial of PB which makes any reducer moot. No outwit needed.
At least CSM and Nightcralwer are killable. Manhattan will refuse death and I strongly believe in the right hands he would never take a click of damage that wasnt pushed.
So to the OP, I vote neither. My choice wasnt listed.

The title of the thread is: MORE Broken: CSM OR NC
Doesn't say a darn thing about other minis. So if you wanna complain read the danger thread title so you can be versed on the thread topic.

No move-and-attack, no willpower, and no way to deal with stealth.

The only time I got to play Nightcrawler, I would say NC curb-stomped Dr. Manhattan. He just kept getting based by people, and all the martial artists with EW meant he was essentially a 276 point figure with super-senses.

That strategy would do just as well v. CSM to take him off his HSS clicks. Of course, it also doesn't address NC's ability to heal back up with the X-Man TA...

it also assumes that Thor somehow gets an advantageous map (i.e., no walls). Which means either NC didn't have theme (which means the player did it wrong), or it was a huge point game (which is sort of moot, as the designers have decided to ignore balance with anything over 300 point games).
The matchup doesn't indicate much--any figure can look horrible if the person playing him isn't any good.
I love playing Nightcrawler, and enjoy the challange of playing against him. He can be beaten, its not easy, but it can be done.
Cosmic Spiderman, IMO, could not be beaten by any 320 points worth of characters. In a 400 point game, he has to be hit first and hard if you are going to stand a chance. Can't be outwitted, Imper and Inv the entire dial, can go two rounds back to back, can shoot through walls, never drops below a ten attack, 17 defense, 3 damage, and can potentially do 7 clicks of damage in one attack when hes half K.O.ed.
Somebody, please prove me wrong. Show me any one or two characters within a point or two of him that could beat him without the dice gods weigning in heavly in your favor. I have managed to beat him once, in a 500 point game. Not saying I am a master of the game, but the character just feels like he should be 400 points. I saw him take down the rookie guardian of fear and only took four clix of damage.
