I'm just a fan of options and I really think that's whats going to dominate the Meta coming up. Figures like the HOH, Weapon Swap, Beast Boy, or Magus/Warlock.

A figure that can trade into a different figure with a different power set as needed depending on the match your in. Something very versatile that can start as one type and if needed trade into a totally different type of piece.

It may not even be a piece that's been released yet but something along those lines.

I expect A lot of FF Sinestro

He has Wp and 19 def which is an real big deal because at only 100 points he has enough room for another strong attacker to make attacking him seem like not a good Idea. add that with some Prob and you might have something.

Also Hollywood seems really strong as you dont have to play Full gauntlet on him, as you can just GoG ATA him and play the IG + Soul

I agree on Sinestro. He screams Gauntlet to me.

EDIT: Played GLFF Sinestro w/ Gauntlet. He's nasty with it when he can utilize the powers that the Gauntlet bestows, like BCF or Flurry. Then as you progress through it he can pick up damage reducers.

So...did Modern Age just dump Metron then decide to go steady with a complete Stranger?

He appears to be almost as good as Metron. He can select any standard power, so he actually has access to move and attack.

I dunno, he's not better then Metron. Metron is less expensive, has better stats, and can use all the most useful powers available. But being able to use move/attack is pretty nice. I dunno, he is interesting.

But I mean, just give him the gauntlet and yea, like any other tentpole he is immediately going to be great. Then you can choose 1 power from the gauntlet, and one from his special power. Yikes.

Huh. He has more clix then Metron I think. And doesn't drop to super senses. Has some late dial invuln. Yea, he's probably the new Metron actually.

I think Queen of Fables with the Full Gauntlet is the new Metron personally. She has a couple of losses in comparison (movement speed, Outwit, a few powers most notable Pulse Wave/PB) but she picks up quite a few things too like Shape Change/Inv. (better than Impervious), Giant (sharpshooter lite), Mystics TA, Several more clicks and that absolutely sick power at the end of her dial.

She's good, but IMO those powers u mentioned her losing are what makes Metron. Penetrating damage, excellent maneuverability (via phasing and high speed), and outwit and perplex.

I'm not saying Stranger is better than metron, but I think he is the most similar piece to him we have.

I don't think he'll be as rampant, partially due to being "late to the party" and not having all the powers at once, like metron does.

But this is just my opinion.

the lower combat values, and the lack of every support power ever all at once. makes him less of a problem.

is he viable? sure. is he good? yeah. is he metron level of annoying? i don't think so.

which is good. i love a piece like that, where it gets put down and you have to think about how you will handle it, not a piece that gets put down and you have to think about how you will pull off a miracle

you may be right, particularly since you will almost always have to face her end dial, and hurt yourself just to get there.

one thing though, being a giant will make it much easier to try and rip her to shreds before she gets through the gauntlet for a hyper aggressive team.

Of course it's too early to tell for sure. But the only thing I think she lacks is the Penetrating Damage, and honestly with the Immunity to PB popping up I'm not sure it's that vital. But the list of gains is enormous in my opinion because when you take her + Full Gauntlet you are talking 204 points, 9 more than Metron, for that you gain...

-Mind Control (ok, well it's something, lol)
-A late dial spike in deadliness
-Possible regeneration

She doesn't lose much with maneuverability as she should have a +2 to movement and PT at least 50% of the time thanks to the gem. Outwit I expect to be non-essential with all the PC/Q and Full Gauntlets running around. Like I said it's the loss of PW/PB that hurts the most. But for me the fact that she can take a hit without you needing to panic that makes up for it.

Don't think I am saying she IS Metron, just the closest I think we'll see. Which will be interesting because the Meta might be dominated by Turtle-and-Turn teams and Blitz teams so a team that can fit some good support and take the center of the map will be an interesting change.

Roulette 35 pts

Keep Routlette back, have Amadeus Cho Outwit and Gladiator charges in with his +1 to combat values and his Power Cosmic. Then it becomes a race which Gladiator could win with his +12 attack and 5 damage as long as no one else is KO'ed.

Infinity Gauntlet full 40 pts
Amadeus Cho 59 pts

Gladiator utilizes his HSS to run and smash, Amadeus again Outwits and PCs.

On another note, I REALLY want to see what The Keeper looks like. Being that the character has both the Power Cosmic and the Nega-Bands, he should be a beast.
