Is Darq one of those people who says you should take the doctoring power to the grave?
Idk but a doctor claim on day 2 is bad form either way.
First, if you survive the kynch train, you've still eliminated the doctor.
Second, it says "You don't want to lunch me. My power is needed." Fear mongering is scummy. (You don't claim vigillante or cop without a mafia name on day 2 either, imo.)
Such an early doctor claim is bad... but on the other hand if it's true pretty much the only way he gets out of swinging with an accusation like Morph's is fully claiming right away.
But on the third hand, if he is scum he could be fishing for the town doctor to counterclaim (which they obviously should *not* do) or more info on Morph's power.
Other thoughts: there was a mafia janitor last game, and hint claiming seems (contra Rokk) fairly commonplace around here, so I don't really buy the hint as evidence he's scum argument.
My guess is that all (or almost all) of the winners from last game are here, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least one is mafia now, or perhaps provided as a fake claim.

This is the exact reason I have a love/hate relationship with this game. You second guess yourself on everything... and I am a analytical chemist it is in my nature to second guess everything.
Anyway, I completely agree... no need for morph to say anything more than what he has.. and a doctor claim is very tricky to deal with, so you never want to see a counterclaim.

I would agree, but it's about trying to outguess the mafia at that point. Do you as the RT protect the doctor knowing that the mafia likely thought the same thing and will go after a perceived threat knowing that the doctor, while useful, can only protect one (2 if doubled) player a night? Point is that unless the mafia has a UnRTable kill, they likely wouldn't target the doctor tonight.
That hint claim is very weak, borderline non-existent to me. Still, weak doesn't mean guilty. We have time and even though Darq offered a weak defense, the timestamp suggests he didn't have time to play much.
He's got enough breathing room and as of this moment, my gut says lynch. My vote stays on. I could be persuaded though.

I'll error on the side of believing, since we only had one death.
If its any consolation, were I a doubler I would have doubled you. Kisses.

Aww, and you know I would have doubled you.
As for believing, the claim itself is strong if we believe that the previous game's winners are here. It's been five years so it's anyone's guess at this point. However, the hint claim he's backing it up with is not strong at all. I would honestly be more inclined to believe him had he not mentioned the hint.
I'm totally leaning towards lynching Darq here. Only reason I won't is that he's on five west coast and I want to give him a chance to wake up and address zone of this. Only one kill and a janitor? It's not like morph is a prime suspect for being messed with N1.
