Apocalypse swung a fist shapeshifted into a giant maul at the Beast. The blue furry X-Man with his amazing agility barely avoided it, but it was an easy set up for Greycrow.
"You're in my sights now, McCoy," He said, shooting at the Beast.
It says it takes a Power Action for him to change, and while I would be okay with - like we do with other figure swap pieces - making it a free action instead, I still think it would be something I would activate on my turn, rather than in the middle of yours as a reaction to being hit. If I survive that long.
Kitty should be at only one, btw, Sam pushed to heal her on my last turn and I forgot to adjust.
To finish, Beast gets his second flurry attack on Apoc then. SC is 5. So much for that. Beast is toast.
Replacing Beast is Magik. SC is 3. Cool. Needs 6, rolls 9. Aw, come on.
Kitty does the circuit. She moves to C14 targeting Blob, Apoc, Greycow. SC for Apoc: 1. Rolls 8. A token to Greycrow and Blob, a token and click to Apoc.
Xavier on Shadow King via Kitty. Needs 6, rolls 8. 2 to SK. He rolls for his trait: 5, so he heals 1.
Jean freely tks Scott to E9.
He attacks SK. Needs 5, rolls 2. Gateway makes it 12. So that's 3 + 1, kos him before he can roll for healing.
I could try for something a little more aggressive, but I think I will just see if I can't save Apocalypse. He's off the neat power that lets him switch with a Colossal, but not being a Colossal, he can be carried, so I'll use a Brood. Just one. We're getting to end game and points are at a premium.
Unus TKs the Brood to C16
Brood picks up Apocalypse and flies away to H23, I23 for Apocalypse.
Toad rolls for his Stranger's Machines power. Gets 3. Nope.
Mystique Perplexes her Damage to 4, goes for Gateway, AV10 on DV16. Gets 7. SS is 3. 4 to him is a KO (Edit: almost forgot Gateway's PC - he makes it 7)
I hate losing Gateway's pc. There are others but I hate losing it nonetheless because I'll have to devote points to pc. And points are of limited supply right now.
Cyclops rolls 6. Nice.
I'm not sure what you're saving Apocalypse for. I mean, he isn't all that great on his top dial let alone later. Still, if you regen you can turn him into another version.
Jean tks Iceman to D9. He barriers and tries to incap Blob & Greycrow . Rolls 7. A token to both.
Emma sides to A8.
Cyclops will remove the token from Magik. She won't attack, she'll just phase herself and Kitty to C9 and C10. Magik gets a corrupted token.
I should draft my pc now. But I won't much as I know I'll need it. For now, I'll take Forge. I can see usefulness from the figure and I always liked him, anyway. Lacking another choice, he boosts Scott's dv.
Even as you asked why I would bother saving Apocalypse, you answered the question. Apocalypse Regenerates. Gets 3, which is kind of irrelevant. Whatever I rolled would allow him to do the big change. I'll go GXG03 on click #14
Greycrow RS to A16 on Magik, AV11 on DV17. Gets 5. There's that 5 again. Destiny's too far to help with that.
