Another question about upgrading. I'm needing to start upgrading Scorpion. Does he need to have at least 50xp to upgrade himself or can I use the XP that one of my heavy hitters have earned?
Bonus question: Can I upgrade him only once per round?

Scorpion will need to earn 50+ XP to upgrade.
You can spend more than 50 XP to upgrade a character, but Mac's most expensive version is less than 50 pts greater than the current version. If you are asking can you spend 50 XP to upgrade him to a higher version of the character and then spend 50 more XP to get a Symbiote upgrade, the answer is no.

To answer slightly differently as well:
You must have a minimum of 50 xp to upgrade that character, whether it is to move to a higher version or to get an object or ATA or feat. So even if the new version is only 20 points higher, you must spend the 50 xp. If the new version is 100 points higher, then you must have the 100 xp to upgrade to that level.
If you want to get an upgrade on a character to a different dial/point level AND get a feat - no, you cannot do that to the same character in one upgrade session.
However, if you wanted to upgrade a character to a different point level and get an ATA or Object, you could do that but ONLY if you were to upgrade your character with the points it earned and use a second character with enough points to upgrade to the object or ATA. The reason why is because the ATA and Object is used team wide so it doesn't matter who upgrades to it. You still have to follow the stipulation of one upgrade per character per upgrade session.
Finally, to clarify, you cannot share XP from character to character - you can only use what that character specifically has earned when upgrading to a higher point version or upgrading to a feat.

Great answer! Thank you for a more full answer. This is really good.
