hey guys got a stupid question havent dueled in a while but duel my bro the other day and was arguing over the trap card magic jammer it says "discard one card from your hand to negate the activiation of a spell card" does this apply to any magic card or does the magic card have to actually say spell card on it. For example if he played dark whole and i countered with magic jammer would it cancel out black hole? Like i said been a while and kinda forgot some of the rules lol. so any help be great thanks alot :squareeye
Magic cards were renamed to "spell" cards a while back, so any instance of the word "magic" is automatically assumed to be "spell" in terms of card type (monster, spell, and trap cards are the 3 types).
Magic Jammer will negate the activation and effect(s) of any magic/spell card.
1) Just to be completely sure on this because I think the answer is yes, can I activate Blast with Chain and/or Metalmorph to my Horus LV6 and/or Spell Canceller and get the attack increment??
2) Can I use Exchange to give my Goldd (Dark World) to my opponent and discard it with Confiscation from the hand of my opponent and have itīs second effect (of destroying 2 cards) done?? (I would like a detailed explanation, 3 pages long please, lol)
Thanks for you time.
1.) Yes, as they are Equip cards, not Equip Spell Cards.
2.) I really dont know, its an odd situation. I would say yes, but dont hold me to it :).
keeprollin1801: Magic Cards = Spell Cards, the reason being MTG got fussy over the terminology.
thats what i was thinking but i just wanted to double check to make sure i was right dont like the "well you only one because you did that which i dont think ya can do phrase" lol. Thanks for clearing that up.
thank you very much for your fast reply, I got another question:
If there are 2 of my Peten the Dark Clown removed from the field and did activate the third Peten, can I remove the third Peten even if I know that I cannot search for other Peten in my deck??
Yes, you could...of course, since you would not have any (and say you don't) the opponent (or a judge) can check your Deck to confirm that there aren't anymore left. Though, there shouldn't be any need really if it's your last one (3rd one)

No. The reason is because when it is discarded from your opponents hand, it goes to YOUR Graveyard, and that is where the effect trigger's. Once it activates, it checks to see how it got there to determine if the second effect will also trigger. Since you were the controller of Confiscation, it was your effect that caused the discard from your opponents hand, but Goldd is your monster, so he was not discarded by "your opponents" card effect.
You would only get the effect to Special Summon and not Destruction of up to 2 Cards on the field.

This was a question that I asked to Dan and he wasn't able to give me an answer at the time, could you tell me where you found yours? Not saying you're incorrect (as I agree with it), but I'm just curious to know if this is just your logic or is an official ruling.

I think it was based on the Vampire Lord ruling. If your oppnent has your Vampire Lord, and you destroy it with your card effect, since it was sent to your Graveyard, even though it was destroyed on your opponents side of the field, it was still destroyed by your card effect, not your opponents.
Fusions, if I were to fusion summon a monster can it attack in the same turn (in the show they can't and I'm notsure if the same applies to the card game)
Also, if I use Marauding Captain's ability to special a monster (say command knight) can I play that special summoned monster in face up defence?
Last question, silent magician is unaffected my magic / spells however as he is a spellcaster will he be able to power up my warriors while the A Forces spell card is on the field, or does this not affect him.
1. They may attack the same turn unless an effect says otherwise.
2. Special Summons are face up unless an effect (like Shallow Grave) says so. Attack or defense positions can be chosen for Marauding Captain.
3. The A. Forces adds to the atk of a warrior, whether the spellcaster is unaffected by spells or not doesn't matter for the atk increase that The A. Forces gives (it doesn't affect the spellcaster). If Silent Magician were to become a warrior (through DNA Surgery maybe?) then it would not receive the increase from The A. Forces.
Right, now here is another question, if I activate Reckless Greed I draw 2 then skip 2 phases, as the card is not restricted can I activate 2 simultaneously? If I can do I draw 4 and skip 4 turns or just skip 2 turns?
