The Story

As Taskmaster approached Doom could see he was looking for a place to put his sword into the monster’s rocky orange hide. Calmly he said, “The Thing has nards.”

“What?”

“Richards was looking for a way for this freak to have children with Alicia Masters. I downloaded all his files and have seen the diagrams.”

Taskmaster began to look queasy, “That is just sick!”

“Hey!” Ben interrupted, “A man’s gotta go somehow!”

“Did I not tell you? Thing’s got nards!”

Taskmaster swung, missing Sue’s invisible force field, still he struck him in the knee.

Then Wanda warped reality and said, “Not that knee. The other knee.”

Well, not going into to many details, Ben got hit there and tears came into his eyes. He staggered back (4 squares) holding himself and in a high pitched voice he said “I’m gonna hurt you guys!”

Doom, Taskmaster, and even Sue Storm had to laugh. Even Johnny, who was laying unconscious, smiled.

The Story

Doom looked over to Nova, former Herald of Galactus, and said, “I have bested the Surfer, you are less than insignificant to me. Feel your power ebb as did he.” A beam of energy emitted from a repulsor in Doom’s gauntlet and the fire surrounding Nova was temporarily extinguished.

Sue Storm tried a desperate attempt to grab him and Doom backhanded her away. “Another time I would have been charmed by your advances Susan. That was a long time ago.” He grabbed Taskmaster and headed for his rendevouz with the Scientist Supreme, just as Doom had planned all along.

The Scientist Supreme quickly scanned his armour as Doom landed. “The burns from Nova crashed your coolant system.” A few twists of a screwdriver and some work with a wrench. “How’s that?”

Doom replied, “I no longer smell the stench of this accursed Baxter Building.”

“Fine.” The Scientist looked over the dent made by the hit from the Thing. “I’ll bet that’s a bit uncomfortable.” Doom nodded. “Well, it will need to be pounded out. We’ll have to do that when the last of them fall.”

Within the armour Doom smiled. He liked the sound of the comment made by the Scientist Supreme, “. . . when the last of them fall.” All was going exactly as planned. Now, to set the next step into action. Nightcrawler, if you would please.

The Story

Nightcrawler knew the plan. He recognized the sound of the beam from Doom’s Gauntlet and knew that the flames surrounding Nova had gone out.

BAMF!

He appeared in front of Nova and he swung and missed her. Then he heard the Scarlet Witch yell, “Hit her again!” So he swung again and this time he connected squarely with her jaw.

BAMF!

He appeared in front of the severely weakened Crystal. “Auf Viedersein (sp?) fraulein, guess who is next?”

Meanwhile, Pyro was freeing the Super Skrull from his icy prison. “AAANNNDDD, you are free mate!”

“It’s about . . .” something caught the Super Skrull’s eye. The Sky Cycle still laid across the unconscious form of She-Hulk.

He grabbed it and flew over to where Sue Storm was trying to hide invisibly. Logan pointed her out for the Super Skrull. “Why Susan, do not hide from me. I have a present for you!” He held the Sky Cycle high and prepared to bring it down on top of her.

Nova sent a blast of flames at her enermy? A lady suddenly turned into Alicia Masters. She quickly change moved pulled back. Her bolt of flame went astray narrowly missing the Super Skrull.

Sue quickly fade away?.. Its time for me to disappear.

Nightcrawler knew Doom’s plan.

“Vat is the matter Faulein? Leaving so soon?”

The Super Skrull couldn’t give a Frumious Bandersnatch about Doom’s plan. This was for glory. He had brought down Reed Richards. He had helped extinguish the Human Torch. Now he would knock out the Thing, powerhouse of the Fantastic Four.

He held the Sky Cycle over his head in one hand and gazed into his enemy’s eyes. He would see the fear just before the strike that brings him down. When he looked, he saw that the Thing was already defeated and no one seemed to let him know. The Skycycle would be overkill and there were still other Fantastic Four to fry. A well placed stretched out uppercut was all it took. KRACK! The mighty Thing had fallen and now lay at the feet of the Super Skrull.

Logan watched the Super Skrull rejoicing. He was going to help him out and the fight was over. Then he caught the scent of her. The invisible human was wearing perfume. How very arrogant. Perhaps she might have gotten away with it but the mutant who’s powers he had chosen to emulate hunted differently than other men. The mutant known as Logan was just above the level of an animal and he would take advantage of it.

He strode over to her and struck his match off her invisible behind to light his cigar, “You can’t hide from a man who hunts with this.” He pointed indicating his nose and smiled ferociously. “I am going to carve you up and serve you to Super Skrull as an appetizer. I hope you live long enough for him to engorge himself upon your still beating heart.”

“You are not the Logan I know!” she said defiantly.

“Too bad for you.” SNIKT! “Too too bad for you.”

He looked over and saw Doom fly out with a hyped up Taskmaster. “Over here Doc! I got Mrs. Richards waiting for you!”

Sue stared at Doom and Taskmaster, both looked as fresh as when they began the siege of the Baxter Building. She looked over and saw Ben lying at Super Skrull’s feet. Johnny and Reed were both out for a while now. And for the first time Sue was really afraid. What would happen to Franklin and Valeria? What would these monsters do to her family? When Doom landed, she knew she was about to find out.

The Story

Scientist Supreme eyed over Taskmaster. “Hmm, a classic case of over exertion. Here, drink this.”

The merc knew that it was first class all the way. He never hesitated and drank it all down. His head felt light and his pain went away. “What was in that?”

“Magic potion, powerful. It helps you see things clearer.” The Scientist Supreme smiled behind her mask.

“Oh yeah, what kind of things?”

“Things no one else can see.”

“Real things?” The merc asked.

Doom tired of this conversation. Why hadn’t a mercenary with the reputation of Taskmaster equipped himself with a chemical analyzer yet? It was obvious to Doom that the man had been given a potent painkiller on a risky but calculated level. He was fine and this conversation was foolish. He grabbed the merc by the arm, “As real as the Thing’s nards.”

He flew up to the cowering Sue Richards, “Hello Susan. There is no need to fear. You will be unconscious soon enough.”

Nove suddenly developed a tooth rpblems. His molar felt like it was dropping. Its time to see a dentsit.


Within seconds the thing begin to look like a pile on rocks on the floor.....Actually he is a pile of rocks on the floor.


Then all of a sudden the molar pain disappeared. It is a great mystry.

Crystal feels energised.... She shouts....lets all run away.
And live to fight again....


Ops Sue Storm suddently felt crowded. She thinks....it is time I disappear literally. .....But can she make it.

Can doom and skrulls prevent the fantastic four from escaping through the roof top. ????

Or will the FF fight to their last breath ?
