Pretty much. I have been crazy busy lately, so I haven't posted here nearly as often as I normally do (plus I am not crazy interested in talking about Captain America which seems to be the big buzz all over the site for some reason).
Well, I dunno know about that, but I'm Marvel-DC agnostic for the most part. Clix is clix, I say (and have always said).
He just seems like a character that would fit perfectly with the JSA to me. Maybe since many of those characters hail from the same era. I don't know what it is but he just feels like his appeal should cross over to the DC fanatics.

Yeah, i've heard this before. That Cap is the DC-Fan's Marvel character, but I don't know if I've ever agreed with the assessment. I guess I have to think about it a bit more.
Actually here is a question about DC marvel fanaticism. Do you judge a character based solely on what company they come from? I like to think I'm a fan of both. If superman is boring to me it's because superman is boring. I don't accuse the whole of DC of being boring. What am I missing? Why limit yourself?

I'd agree with this. I'm a fan of certain characters and don't judge based on the company. Both companies have stupid characters and characters I'm not a fan of. I mostly read DC, but that's more because I'm a huge Lantern fanboy.
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.
Welcome Charlie (Charles William Cook)! Born 7/14/2011!

The only thing I might see is not caring much for the characters they would interact with. Though that is one nice thing about clix is you can steal them away from whoever they normally hang with if you want.

Very true. Spiderman can hang out with Jerry Damage, Megan Fox, and Batman if he wants to.

It does. The only non-DC comics I get are Cap and Ironman.

No.
My first comics were two issues of Action Comics and two issues of Incredible Hulk, purchased in an airport in 1983. I didn't care about what company produced what.
I won't say there aren't aspects of the Marvel Universe i prefer over DC, but it cuts both ways. Really, nowadays the 'differences' are largely irrelevant anyway.
As a DC loyalist, it comes down to some basic points:
1) I do not have a lot of money, so I can either get a case of DC or a Brick of each. Since I typically want more DC, as the OCDist in me, I limit myself to DC clix only.
2) I do not have a lot of money, so I can only pick up a handful of books a month. I like Teen Titans and Green Lantern, so most of my books revolve around those two groups of characters. I used to like the Marvel Ultimate stuff, but after Ultimatum not so much.
3) I honestly think the 616 Marvel universe is too big to really jump into on a budget unless you are only going to be a Marvel reader. Is is tough to pick just one or two books, and they usually left me feeling wanting than with just picking up Teen Titan's and Outsiders back in the day (when I first started buying comics weekly, I picked up Teen Titans, Outsiders, Ultimate Spider-Man, and whatever big event was going on in each universe. I tried shopping by TPB a lot as well, picking up Young Avengers and a lot more Ultimate stuff, but I liked DC's teens better, which is what was appealing to me at the time).
That is what it mainly comes down to. I do have on my desk a handful of WOS figures as well as the Hellboy box set, but the vast majority of stuff on display are either Teen Titans, Lanterns, or from Crisis (plus mods). I am stoked about the Captain America movie, and I love comic book movies of all shapes and sizes, but when it comes to books I read and clix I play with, it is only DC for me.
In about 2 years I am invisioning one of two possible interactions between SLVRSR4 and my son.
1) The two will fight over the Silver Surfer Super Hero Squad figure.
2) SLVR will be trying to explain why his figures aren't theme or comic accurate.
Both will probably happen. And at that point, the laughter I get out of it will completely make my investment in them pay off.
Jokes on you! I have my own Silver Surfer super hero squad figures. I also have Nova, Thanos, Captain Mar-Vell, Deadpool, She-Hulk, Thing, and a few others. When I come to a party I bring my own toys.

Yes, but when my 2-year old kills your Surfer with his Hal Jordan I will enjoy the look on your face when you pause for 2-3 seconds and internally debate explaining that he has Power Cosmic before realizing that you can't argue with a 2-year old and sadly let Surfer die.
