Harrier and Cyclone are Spidey villians so assuming both of them plus Joystick could show up in a set later down the line. Maybe even Absolute Carnage.
Are you sure? Most of his appearances were as Cardinal -fighting the New Warriors. Then in the large Masters group, he switched over to the Harrier identity.
I've completed collecting the IC, CT, XP, CM, Ult, MM, FF, AW, Sin, SN, AVE, M&M, SI, HoT, WoS, GSX, CA, IH, GG, AVM, CW, M10th, ASM, IM3, WK11-16, FI, WX, T:DW, CA:WS, IIM, DoFP, DP, GotG, AoUM, AoU, AVAS NFAoS, CACW, UXM, SFoes, DXF, GotG2, ADW, WI, MT T:RM, AI SW:B, EX, ABPI and X:DPAS sets.
Looking to get PR Professor X (W/X-Men) and pre-release "IC" Wolverine.
For 10 points you can have both in the form of a Reality Gem.
Yes, but who would you put this on?
The team is a slew of close-combat pieces who suffer from low stats and short dials. It would be nice to have a dedicated support member to help make the team better.
King Cobra does a great job with his token removal (even though his 55 points is a pain in the neck - because, fun fact, guess how many members point values end with a 5: Answer -1, him). Sidewinder is a must include, too (soon).
Maybe Sidewinder will always get the Perplex/TK gem - he has the Willpower for it...
Still doesn't stop me from wanting figures that can help out. Plus I also don't need to worry about someone borrowing that gem or my son running whomever comes with that gem.
I'm disappointed there isn't a Diamondback in this Captain America set.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
And yes, a new Diamondback would have been perfect for thissset.

I could dig that

why bother putting Sidewinder in this set if there aren't any other Serpent Society members to go with him? come to think of it there have barely been any in the recent modern sets. just seems like filler/waste of a slot.

each set is bigger than sealed.
my biggest problem with this set is that it largely disrespects what came before in power leap. but this is a nice add to heroclix at large. you feel it more in this piece, because he's very dependent on his kw, but it's better late than never and a longtime coming for sidewinder in particular
Yeah, Sidewinder being obviously designed for a SS team that doea not exist in Modern (Bushmaster is the sole member currently and King Cobra rotates soon, and is kinda the leader thay replaced Sidewinder) proves to me that 'modern' pkay means nothing. I want to play the serpents. Can't play in the 'official' format.

Around that time, New Warriors were bundled into the Spider-Man line.
Not the firmest connective tissue, but it's there.
I'm not sure there is a lot of overlap between people hung-up on playing sidewinder and people hung-up on playing modern age only.
I'm not saying it isn't a negative, but just that I would think it isn't that big a one.
Well, duh. I don't know anyone who collects Heroclix for comic book reasons and also plays this game competitively. I sure as hell know people who have not read a single comic book and play this game competitively.
The point is: Wizkid designs pieces that can obviously not compete, and yet the whole appeal of the game is, as far as I'm concerned, comic book characters fighting.
Well, I want Cap to fight the Serpents. I can only do that in "fun games" at home, or a venue with friends. I can't do that in the ""real"" game. That's not my problem. That's Wizkid's problem.
For real, though, I don't have any interest in playing the game competitively. I feel for the rest of you who do, but Sidewinder was also the last founding member who didn't have a carded version. I think it would've been better had he been bumped up to Uncommon so he wasn't pulled so often, but what can ya do?
I love that Sidewinder is in this set. At my venue we run Golden Age events 95% of the time, so I've got no problem with him showing up after others have retired. I feel bad for those that are subjected to mostly modern play. It really hampers creativity and paints builds (And in my personal opinion, Fun) into a corner.
