I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
Ouch that first page needs some updateing which will be done now unless the computer boots me (which it has a tendincy to do when I click on thing .....stupuid stone age dial up...)

Well I think all thats right. Just need to get time from dark tower.
Apprently there is a group of clixers that has been playing there, or so they claim, on Mondays.
Congrats to the Old Man (AKA Batsentry) on his venue, sorry I could not get it up quicker but I think this is the first official tourney there (did not see anyothers on WK site)

BTW, does Tyler need any non-SRs to finish his set or is he going to buy another brick for Starro? Y'know, I have a few dupes.
I am sure he will buy a brick (whole or piecemeal) for the Starro tournies at Hoseheads. He is off Friday to Sundays. Not sure what he needs. He will have Saturday classes during the Tournies as well, so he will miss some.
Out of Curiosity I called Dark Tower and asked if they were running the Starro Events. They said yes, eventhough only week 1 & 2 are listed on the WK site. They were not sure whether they were going to run the event on thursday or sunday though and not sure of the time. I pressed them that they need to post a time, heck to be a legal event it has to be in Approved Play, technically the event is only open to WK registered players, though WK won't enforce it. At any rate all i got was wishy washyness, typical of Shawn and Kannon even though I did not talk to them (thank god). Not satified with the answer I contacted WK corporate, PM me for the #, and complained that they are not listing specific dates or times. The WK rep agreed that it was suspicious and would look into it. Frankly I don't care if I don't win the Starro but I am going to attend week 5 at DT just to make sure it goes to someone who actually attends the event and to make sure Kannon and his croneys don't profit off of WK's generosity with ebay.....
if you read this then you lost 10 seconds you'll never get back.

Do we have a fishy venue in our own backyard???
Still new enough around here and dont know the story. Insight anyone??
A question was raised about the location of the Sci Fi Center for the Friday night Starro events.
It is located in the same general area as Kool Kollectibles. If you look at an aerial of the complex, most people enter the complex at the traffic signal on Sahara and (I think) Commercial Center. If you are one such traveler, further west (toward the Sahara hotel) is an unsignaled street at the west end of the complex; it is State Street.
Turn onto State Street and you will see the large Sci Fi Center sign on your left-hand side. The neighborhood is not the best, but the store owner does have operating security cameras canvasing both directions of the street in front of his store.
Jimbo: will see you there! What time should I be there?
All that care: As most of you know, I do alot of research...
The Avengers set had its good elements (many cheap figs) but it was VERY difficult to build a theme team from sealed. JLA has many possible Theme team builds right from sealed! Here are a couple I have put together: MYSTICAL
Deadman 119points
Abra Kadabra 100pts.
Dr. Alchemy 62 pts.
281pts.
MYSTICAL
Zauriel 117pts.
Deadman 119pts.
Dr. Alchemy 62pts.
298pts.
INJUSTICE LEAGUE
Lex Luthor 161pts.
Chronos 77pts.
Major Disaster 62pts. Thats right! Double-Prob plus Team Prob!
297pts.
SCIENTIST
Flash 114pts.
Dr. Polaris 111pts.
Dr. Alchemy 62 pts.
287pts.
DETECTIVE
Batman & Robin 138 pts.
Batman (Common) 75pts.
Batzarro 69pts.
282pts.
I'm sure there are more, but some are difficult to arrange or leave too many points leftover. Sure it wouldn't be easy to pull Deadman and Abra Kadabra! The easiest to pull would be the Injustice League. So what do you guys think? Post your likes/dislikes and anymore you find.

wow that looks ljust like the team I built for something coming up. I did not even think about it being pulled in sealed lol.
as for dark tower, the torney is at 6pm thursday, so its either oasis or DT. One of hte week I will have to stop by because they said there was a group of players thats been playing on mondays. I don't think they are lying but you never know, I had told them that Comic Oasis runs their tourneys on thursday...

Gotta have a judge, right? As quickly as John got shut down at Dreamland when he moved to the location near Kools, I'm surprized this discussion has lasted this long.
